  • Patent number: 9430469
Abstract: Systems and methods for recursively generating pivot tables are described. A processor provides, for display, a first table including a first set of results, each result including values corresponding to a first dimension. Each value of the first dimension is associated with a corresponding actionable object for further filtering a data set. In response to an action on an actionable object, the processor identifies a first set of entries of the plurality of entries that correspond to a value of the first dimension with which the actionable object is associated. The processor receives a second request to generate a second table from the first table identifying a second dimension. The processor generates the second table including a second set of results having values corresponding to the second dimension identified in the second request.

  • Publication number: 20160203811
Abstract: Audio processing method is described to continuously process an audio signal while changing between audio modes so that the listener does not experience a discontinuous sound during the transition. The first audio signal can be combined with the second audio signal to produce a smooth, continuous output signal that changes to only having the second audio signal over a time period. A global gain can be reduced during the transition from the first audio mode to a subsequent audio mode. Differences in the parameters from the first mode to the second mode can be determined and the parameters that differ are stepped from an initial value to a subsequent value over a transition time to produce a smooth audio signal.

The audio signal processing system may include an input signal, a first filter system, a nonlinear effect simulator and a second filter system. The input signal may include an audio signal and the sample audio signal. The audio signal may be a signal generated with a musical instrument and the sample audio signal may be a previously processed signal for a sound recording. The first filter system may include a chain of filters configured to condition the audio signal. The nonlinear effect simulator may receive the audio signal processed by the first filter system and modify the audio signal nonlinearly.

  • Patent number: 7274538
Abstract: A sensor comprises a transducer portion including a semi-permanently deformable portion. A deformation of the semi-permanently deformable portion in response to an activation energy deforms the transducer portion. The deformation is retained after the activation energy is removed. In another embodiment of the invention, a transducer comprises a body having an active element, a magnetostrictive element and a magnet having a magnetic field. The magnetic field causes a deformation of the magnetostrictive portion thereby adjusting the position of the active element.

  • Patent number: 6940245
Abstract: A downhole compressor system is disclosed for assisting in extracting gas from the well. The system comprises a compressor 14, an electric motor 10 for driving the compressor 14 which motor has a stator winding and a rotor 12 and, in use, is lowered into the well together with the compressor. A control system 18, which when in use is disposed outside the well, is connected to the stator winding for controlling the current supply to the motor 10. The control system 18 receiving a signal indicative of the speed and phase of the rotor from a feedback sensor 16 mounted for rotation with the rotor 12. In the invention, the feedback sensor is a current generator having a permanent magnet 16a mounted for rotation with the rotor 12 and a second stator winding 16b connected to the control system 18.

  • Patent number: 6912574
Abstract: A flow allocation system includes a set of collection agents, a set of restriction agents, a processing agent and at least one usage limit selected from a volume limit set and a rate limit set. The flow allocation system is implemented between a set of usage devices and a service network. The collection agents monitor flows between the usage devices and the service network. The processing agent sums the flows for each of the usage devices, determines whether any of the summed flows reach the usage limit, and selects at least one flow restriction rule for the subset of usage devices reaching the usage limit. The set of restriction agents implement the flow restriction control rule for the subset of usage devices reaching the usage limit. The processing agent also uses exception handling techniques to shift usage quotas for the usage devices.
