  • Patent number: 11741024
Abstract: A synchronizer that can generate pipeline (e.g., FIFO, LIFO) status in a single step without intermediate synchronization. The status can be an indicator of whether a pipeline is full, empty, almost full, or almost empty. The synchronizer (also referred to as a double-sync or ripple-based pipeline status synchronizer) can be used with any kind of clock crossing pipeline and all kinds of pointer encodings. The double-sync and ripple-based pipeline status synchronizers eliminate costly validation and semi-manual timing closure, suggests better performance and testability, and have lower area and power.

  • Publication number: 20220255541
Abstract: An asynchronous multi-cycle reset synchronization circuit that can correlate any number of resets and synchronous clocks with simultaneous reset de-assertion and removal of reset assertion crossing hazards. The asynchronous multi-cycle reset synchronization circuit can also be paired with a synchronous multi-cycle reset synchronization circuit to correlate same domain asynchronous and synchronous resets. Also described is a synchronous reset multi-cycle synchronization circuit that correlates with any number of asynchronous resets and guarantees simultaneous reset de-assertion.

  • Patent number: 9310684
Abstract: Organometallic solutions have been found to provide high resolution radiation based patterning using thin coatings. The patterning can involve irradiation of the coated surface with a selected pattern and developing the pattern with a developing agent to form the developed image. The patternable coatings may be susceptible to positive-tone patterning or negative-tone patterning based on the use of an organic developing agent or an aqueous acid or base developing agent. The radiation sensitive coatings can comprise a metal oxo/hydroxo network with organic ligands. A precursor solution can comprise an organic liquid and metal polynuclear oxo-hydroxo cations with organic ligands having metal carbon bonds and/or metal carboxylate bonds.

  • Publication number: 20130295507
Abstract: Embodiments of a method for synthesizing aqueous precursors comprising Hf4+ or Zr4+ cations, peroxide, and a monoprotic acid are disclosed. The aqueous precursors are suitable for making HfO2 and ZrO2 thin films, which subsequently can be patterned. The disclosed thin films are dense and continuous, with a surface roughness of ?0.5 nm and a refractive index of 1.85-2.0 at ?=550 nm. Some embodiments of the disclosed thin films have a leakage-current density ?20 nA/cm2 at 1 MV/cm, with a dielectric breakdown ?3 MV/cm. The thin films can be patterned with radiation to form dense lines and space patterns.

  • Publication number: 20120154593
Abstract: In one aspect the invention provides an apparatus and method of controlling a plurality of cameras to capture footage of a sporting event. The method of obtaining motion picture footage of a moving object includes the steps of capturing dynamic primary image of said object using a first motion picture camera, and capturing a dynamic halo image that extends around said primary image using a second motion picture camera, wherein the position of said dynamic primary image within said dynamic halo image can be altered. The use of at least a first camera that captures a primary image that conforms to the target object and a halo image captured by a second camera having a wider field of view means that a single operator can simply and effectively control the composition of the television broadcast.

  • Publication number: 20110050904
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for capturing video footage of a moving object, including a plurality of movable cameras controlled by a control means, the control means being in communication with a tag device attached to said object such that at least one of said plurality of cameras tracks the movement of said object, wherein the position of an image of said object, within a respective camera's picture frame, is biasly influenced by at least one biasing means. The biasing means, may be a point within the camera's picture frame, or a magnetic line traversing at least portion of the camera's picture frame, or a target frame within the camera's picture frame, or a combination thereof. The present invention takes into consideration complex framing and cinematographic composition that provides footage of a race participant, such as a motor racing vehicle in which jerky footage is undesirable.
