  • Publication number: 20140082693
Abstract: A network device includes a security binding table. The network device is configured to couple to a network and configured to receive security information from a source device. A processor is included to compare the lookup portion of the received security information from the source device to the lookup portion of each entry of the security binding table and to compare the match portion of the received security information from the source device to the match portion of each entry of the security binding table to determine if there is a match, and to update the security binding table by adding an entry comprising the lookup portion and the match portion of the received security information from the source device when neither the lookup portion nor the match portion of the received security information from the source device matches any entry of the security binding table.

  • Patent number: 8620851
Abstract: The system and method for determining fuzzy cause and effect relationships in an intelligent workload management system described herein may combine potential causes and effects captured from various different sources associated with an information technology infrastructure with substantially instantaneous feedback mechanisms and other knowledge sources. As such, fuzzy correlation logic may then be applied to the combined information to determine potential cause and effect relationships and thereby diagnose problems and otherwise manage interactions that occur in the infrastructure. For example, information describing potential causes and potential effects associated with an operational state of the infrastructure may be captured and combined, and any patterns among the information that describes the multiple potential causes and effects may then be identified.

  • Patent number: 8611254
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for configuring a network for multicasting includes receiving with a first router a first message from a second router, updating a listing of candidate rendezvous points on the first router in relation to information contained in the first message, and sending a second message from the first router to a third router, the second message containing information as to rendezvous point mapping.

  • Publication number: 20130324093
Abstract: A data processing system that, in one embodiment, uses smart reminders to allow a user to decline an incoming phone or messaging call and to cause the system to set a smart reminder about the call. In one embodiment, the system can use the system's current state or context (e.g. the system is in a car or is playing a movie) to determine the type of reminder options to present to the user and to determine when to trigger the reminder based on the reminder option that is selected by the user.

  • Publication number: 20130261377
Abstract: An implantable bone-conduction hearing actuator based on a piezoelectric element, such as a unimorph or bimorph cantilever bender, is described. Unlike other implantable bone conduction hearing actuators, the device is subcutaneous and once implanted is entirely invisible. The device excites bending in bone through a local bending moment rather than the application of a point force as with conventional bone-anchored hearing aids.

  • Publication number: 20130231146
Abstract: Registering a client computing device for online communication sessions. A registration server receives a message that has a push token that is unique to the client computing device and a phone number of the client computing device from an SMS (Short Message Service) transit device, which received an SMS message having the push token from the client computing device and determined the phone number of the client computing device from that SMS message. The registration server associates the push token and the phone number and stores it in a registration data store, which is used for inviting users for online communication sessions.

  • Publication number: 20130193805
Abstract: A transducer with triangular cross-sectional shaped pillars is described for suppressing lateral modes within a composite, and a method for producing the same. According to one aspect of the present application, a plurality of triangular cross-sectional shaped pillars extends outwardly from a substrate and form an array of pillars. The resulting array of pillars is configured to suppress the lateral modes of the transducer at higher operating frequencies, such as, at or above 15 MHz, at or above 20 MHz, or at or above 30 MHz.

  • Publication number: 20120296215
Abstract: High-frequency ultrasound imaging can be performed with greater quality and suppressed grating lobes by using methods and systems for effectively reducing the temporal length of transmit grating lobe signals in received ultrasound echoes. Systems and methods are provided for improved high-frequency ultrasound imaging. In various aspects, the method of shortening the time domain of grating lobe signals comprises splitting an array of N transmit elements into K sub-apertures. In further aspects, the grating lobes are suppressed by performing signal processing of the shortened grating lobe signals. In certain aspects, the signal processing method comprises weighting the samples by a calculated phase coherence factor.

  • Publication number: 20120066487
Abstract: The system and method for providing load balancer visibility in an intelligent workload management system described herein may expand a role or function associated with a load balancer beyond handling incoming and outgoing data center traffic into supporting governance, risk, and compliance concerns that may be managed in an intelligent workload management system. In particular, the load balancer may establish external connections with destination resources in response to client devices establishing internal connections with the load balancer and then attach connection tracers to monitor the internal connections and the external connections. The connection tracers may then detect incoming traffic and outgoing traffic that the internal and external connections pass through the load balancer, and traffic tracers may collect data from the incoming traffic and the outgoing traffic, which the workload management system may use to manage the data center.

  • Publication number: 20120023552
Abstract: A method for processing a packet is described herein. The packet is received by a network device of a wired network. The packet is filtered if a field in the packet matches a marker designated for indicating a path of the packet includes a rogue access point (AP). Upon filtering, a location on the wired network is determined. The location connects the wired network to a rogue AP from which the packet was received.

  • Publication number: 20120016243
Abstract: A high frequency ultrasound analog beamformer comprises a linear array of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices formed on a single crystal piezoelectric substrate, such as a PMN-PT single crystal piezoelectric substrate. Each SAW device comprises ultrasound input and output electrode structures separated by a variable delay structure. The beamformer further comprises a delay controller operably connected to each variable delay structure to control the delay of each SAW device to dynamically focus signals received at each input electrode.

  • Publication number: 20110249079
Abstract: Transitioning between an audio only circuit switched call and a video call. A client device, which is currently connected to one or more other client devices through an established audio only circuit switched call, receives input from a user to transition from the audio only circuit switched call to the video call. A video call invitation message is transmitted to the other client devices. The client device receives a video call accept message from the other client devices and begins transmitting video captured by its front facing camera to the other client devices. Responsive to receiving at least a video frame from each of the one or more other client devices, the client device transitions from the audio only circuit switched call to the video call. After transitioning to the video call, the circuit switched call is dropped.
