Abstract: A method and system of dynamic memory management. The method of managing memory in a computer system includes accessing the activation stack with a first thread, accessing the activation stack with a second thread, pausing the first thread only during a portion of time that the activation stack is accessed by the second thread, and managing access of the activation stack to prevent access of the activation stack by the first and second threads at the same time. The activation stack includes a plurality of frames, and a processor is utilized to activate and deactivate the threads.

Abstract: A method and system for handling device driver interrupts in a computer system. An interrupt handling Method is initiating prior to the occurrence of any interrupts in the computer system. The interrupt handling Method is executed to a waiting state, and execution is then resumed when an interrupt occurs. When an interrupt is detected control is transferred to the operating system and the interrupt is dismissed.

The method of managing memory in a computer system includes identifying compiled code to be deleted, examining the return addresses of the frames in the stack, determining whether any of the return address of the frames are in the range of addresses of the compiled code to be deleted, and if they are, then altering the contents of the frame determined to have a return address in the range of addresses of the compiled code to be deleted.

Abstract: A non-lacerational technique to collect cells in an oral mouth cavity utilizes a brush with bristles which have an abrading surface and collect cells from the superficial, intermediate and basal layers of the oral tissue.

Abstract: A process for the recovery of coal particles from coal tailings is described. The process comprises the steps of initially treating the coal tailings to separate therefrom a proportion of the coal particles having sizes in a specified range, and then subjecting the coal particles to a heat treatment process. In one embodiment, the separated coal particles can undergo an agglomeration in oil prior to the heat treatment. The process provides a further means of recovering coal particles of certain sizes from slurries.
