Abstract: A smoking article for use with an apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material, the article includes a body of smokable material and a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a cooling segment of between 20 mm and 30 mm in length for cooling at least one volatilized component of the smokable material, a filter segment adjacent to the cooling segment for filtering at least one volatilized component of the smokable material and a mouth end segment adjacent to the filter segment for being received in a mouth of a user. The cooling segment is located between the body of smokable material and the filter segment.

Abstract: A device may receive application questions for an individual applying for credit with an organization. The device may broadcast the application questions to additional devices that have access to a distributed ledger for sharing credit worthiness information to cause at least one of the additional devices to generate an application response to the application questions and to process the application response using a smart contract. The device may receive one or more application responses that have been encrypted. Each of the application responses may include particular credit worthiness information relating to the individual. The device may decrypt the application responses. The device may determine a credit worthiness score for the individual using the application responses. The device may perform one or more actions that allow the device or another device associated with the organization to use the credit worthiness score to determine whether to approve the individual for credit.

Abstract: A device may receive transaction data indicating that a transaction occurred. The transaction may be between a first user of a first device and a second user of a second device. The device may receive, from the first device, first sensor data indicating a first location recorded by a first sensor of the first device at a first point in time associated with the transaction; and receive, from the second device, second sensor data indicating a second location recorded by a second sensor of the second device at a second point in time associated with the transaction. Based on the transaction data, the first sensor data, and/or the second sensor data, the device may determine whether the transaction occurred and perform an action based on the determination of whether the transaction occurred.

Abstract: A central entity can be in communication with a terminal and a plurality of authentication entities. The central entity can receive a token from the terminal and the central entity can decide to transmit the token to a subset of the plurality of authentication entities. The authentication entities which receive the token, can verify or authenticate the token and transmit an authentication message to the central entity. Based on the authentication messages, the central entity can transmit a message to the terminal indicating which authentication entities authenticated or verified the user and/or a request associated with the user.

Abstract: An authentication method includes assigning a risk status to a request received from a remote interaction system, transmitting a notification communication to a device associated with the request, monitoring interaction data from an interaction network, and identifying, from the monitored interaction data, authentication interaction information, the authentication interaction information including a coded sequence and a predetermined authentication identifier. The authentication method also includes comparing the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information to an expected coded sequence and transmitting a verification communication after determining the coded sequence in the authentication interaction information matches the expected coded sequence.

Abstract: To determine whether a web resource complies with a policy for displaying an informational notice, a system obtaining a Document Object Model (DOM) representation of the web resource, the DOM representation specifying a hierarchy of pages and including instructions for displaying content elements. The system traverses the DOM representation of the web resource to determine whether the web resource includes the informational notice, including calculating a likelihood that a content element corresponds to the informational notice based on one or more keywords associated with the informational notice. In response to determining that the content element corresponds to the informational notice, the system determines a set of visual parameters of the content element, and determines whether the web resource is configured to display the content element according to a visibility metric.

A computing device can determine an emotional and/or environmental state of a first user responsive to reading or responding to a message and can convey the determined emotional and/or environmental state to a second computing device, to be transiently presented by the second computing device.

Abstract: An intelligence platform determines that a package was delivered to a location, and receives real-time information associated with the package or location. The real-time information includes sensor data received from one or more sensor devices disposed proximate to the package, or third party data received from one or more third party devices associated with a geographic region that includes the location to which the package was delivered. The intelligence platform determines, using a machine learning model, a score for the package based on the real-time information, where the score predicts a measure of vulnerability of the package, and determines whether to retrieve or protect the package based on the score. The intelligence platform selects an unmanned vehicle (UV) to retrieve or protect the package based on vehicular data, and transmits instructions to the UV to cause the UV to navigate to the package and retrieve or protect the package.

Abstract: In an automated product delivery method a request for delivery of a product is received from a user device. One or more product delivery options are determined and transmitted to the user device and a selected product delivery option is received from the user device. The product is provided to the selected delivery location in advance of the selected delivery time window. A delivery processing server receives user device location information and determines an estimated arrival time of the user at the delivery location. At the estimated arrival time, the product is securely staged for pickup by the user. The delivery processing server receives user validation information, and responsive to validation of the user information, transmits to the delivery location processing device, an instruction to allow access to the product by the user, and access to the product by the user is allowed.

Abstract: Method and systems described herein may provide multifactor mutual authentication. A first server may provide a first party and a second party with at least two authentication components in order for the first party to authenticate the identity of the second party, and vice versa. The first authentication component may include a color-based authentication component, while the second authentication component may include a code-based authentication component. Both factors need to be validated in order for the authentication to be successful. The color-based authentication component, in combination with the code-based authentication component, may improve the speed with which the mutual authentication is performed.

Abstract: A device may receive, from automated teller machine (ATM) devices, information related to a capability of each of the ATM devices to provide cash, or a fee to be charged by each of the ATM devices in association with providing the cash. The device may receive, from a user device, a request to identify an ATM device of the ATM devices. The device may determine scores for the ATM devices based on the information related to the capability of the one of the ATM devices or the fee to be charged by the one of the ATM devices. The device may determine a rank for the ATM devices based on the scores for the ATM devices. The device may provide, to the user device and based on the rank, information identifying the ATM device or one or more other ATM devices of the ATM devices.

The computing device may send a second request for the requested content to an encoder. In response to the second request, the computing device (e.g., the content packager) may receive the requested content and a content manifest associated with the requested content. The computing device may determine that encryption key data (e.g., an encryption key and/or key metadata) for the requested content is not in a cache associated with the computing device. The computing device (e.g., the content packager or a cache associated with the content packager) may send a request for the encryption key data associated with the requested content to a cache associated with a second computing device, based on the determination that the encryption key data is not in the cache associated with the computing device.

Abstract: An automated method is provided for enabling and implementing a beacon-based service location application in a user device having a beacon monitoring application. A service location facilitation server establishes service need criteria for a user of the user device and estimates a service need state for the user. The service need state includes information indicative of a relative need for a desired service. The service location facilitation server then determines whether the service need state meets the service need criteria, and, if so, transmits an instruction to the user device to transition the beacon monitoring application from an inactive state to an active monitoring state.
