  • Patent number: 11902775
Abstract: Rotation of a wireless client device address is based on an encryption key and a nonce value. Key information and nonce value information are shared between a wireless client device and a network infrastructure component over a secure communication channel. The wireless client device encrypts the nonce value using the key information and encodes the encrypted value as a device address. The wireless client device then identifies itself via a source address value in a message transmitted over a wireless network. Upon receiving the message, the network infrastructure component decrypts information derived from the source address value and compares the resulting data to the nonce value. If a match is identified, the network infrastructure identifies the wireless client device as a source of the message. In some embodiments, the nonce value is updated with each rotation to provide for improved entropy of generated device addresses.

  • Publication number: 20240049124
Abstract: Best links for wireless clients may be provided. A computing device may receive, from a client device, a request to join a network. Then, in response to receiving the request to join the network, initial characteristics of the client device may be evaluated. Next, an initial plurality of links list may be provided to the client device in response to evaluating the initial characteristics of the client device. Subsequent characteristics of the client device may then be evaluated. An updated plurality of links list may be provided to the client device in response to evaluating the subsequent characteristics of the client device.

Abstract: Per station multi-link time scheduling may be provided. An Access Point (AP) may receive a request from a Multi-Link Device (MLD) to send a plurality of data traffics in a network for a predetermined interval. A Quality of Service (QoS) requirement may be determined for each of the plurality of data traffics. A Traffic Identifier (TID)-to-link assignment may be determined for each of the plurality of data traffics. Determining the TID-to-link assignment may comprise determining a link state of each of a plurality of links envisioned for the MLD for the predetermined interval. Each of the plurality of data traffics may be assigned to one or more of the plurality of links based on the QoS requirement for each of the plurality of data traffics and the link state of each of the plurality of links envisioned for the MLD. The TID-to-link assignment may be sent to the MLD.

  • Publication number: 20240031062
Abstract: A trigger to enable data traffic replication in a wireless network may be provided. A data packet comprising a Differentiated Service Code Point (DSCP) field in a header may be received. A determination may be made that the data packet comprises a candidate traffic for bi-casting. In response to determining that the data packet comprises the candidate traffic for bi-casting, a flag may be set in the DSCP field in the header of the data packet. The flag triggers bi-casting of the data packet. The data packet may be sent to a destination device.

  • Publication number: 20240022945
Abstract: Embodiments identify a station that rotates an over the air station address. As address rotation was not originally designed into wireless networks, the rotation can introduce communication challenges for the station. The embodiments derive that traffic referencing two different over the air station addresses are associated with a single common station. This is accomplished by determining a similarity between properties of two sets of traffic. A first set of traffic references the first over the air station address and a second set of traffic references the second over the air station address. If the properties common across the two sets of traffic indicate sufficient similarity, the embodiments determine that both sets of traffic are associated with a single device. Network configuration of the device is then adjusted based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 11877154
Abstract: Techniques for identifying a trusted SSID for a wireless network are disclosed. Prior to establishing a connection with a wireless network comprising a service set identifier (SSID), a network message is received at a wireless station (STA), from an access point (AP) associated with the wireless network. The STA identifies an encrypted identifier in the network message. The STA validates the encrypted identifier, and in response determines that the AP corresponds to a trusted wireless network. The SSID is designated as trusted, at the STA.

  • Publication number: 20240015727
Abstract: Techniques for managing communications between access points and stations (STAs) are described herein. An access point broadcasts a trigger message to a plurality of STAs, the trigger message includes a matrix defining a plurality of resource units (RUs) that the plurality of STAs are assigned to transmit or receive data. The matrix accomplishes time division multiplexing by assigning timeslots to a plurality of STAs. • Publication number: 20240015565
Abstract: Systems and techniques for performing traffic management in a wireless network using predictive traffic identifier (TID)-to-link mapping are described. An example technique includes obtaining one or more metrics associated with communication between a client station (STA) and an access point (AP) in a wireless network. The communication between the client STA and the AP is based on a first TID-to-link map. A second TID-to-link map is determined, based at least in part on evaluating the one or more metrics with a machine learning model. Communications between the client STA and AP are performed, based on the second TID-to-link map.
