    Abstract: A shield is provided for use with a connector assembly that includes for sides that form an enclosure, one of the sides being a baseplate. The shield can include a plurality of guides positioned on the baseplate and the plurality of guides can be arranged in a pattern. Each guide can be formed by making two slits in the bottom plate so as to define a body portion of the guide and the body portion can be extended in the enclosure. Each guide can be supported by the baseplate at opposite ends of the body portion.

The distinct interior coolant passage has a coolant passage inlet defining a coolant passage inlet cross-sectional area, a coolant passage discharge defining a coolant passage discharge cross-sectional area, and an axial coolant passage length. The distinct interior coolant passage defines a coolant flow cross-sectional area along the axial coolant passage length thereof. The metalcutting insert further includes a plurality of surface features for enhancing coolant flow to the cutting edge.

The shroud has an opening that is surrounded by a plurality of sides and the shroud contains a base portion that has slits formed in a leading edge thereof. The slits define a plurality of spring arms or contacts that are bent in opposing directions so that some of the spring arms extend up and out into contact with a faceplate inserted over the shielding cage and the remaining spring arms extend down and into the shielding cage interior to contact a module inserted therein.

    Abstract: An EMI gasket takes the form of a metal shroud that completely encircles a metal shielding cage. The shroud has an opening that is surrounded by a plurality of sides and each side has first and second flanges, which respectively contact the inner surface of the device faceplate and the exterior surfaces of the shielding cage. A pair of spring arms are provided in order to apply a biasing force against the shroud, thereby forcing it into contact with the faceplate. The spring arms each include a torsion loop, and each loop engages the shielding cage and fixes the rear position of the spring arms.
