  • Publication number: 20240026860
Abstract: A friction limiting turbine gyroscope is a compact and efficient means to convert the energy of a moving fluid into electrical energy. The gyroscope's flywheel rotates when a fluid passes through its spokes while magnets located along the perimeter act upon proximate movable field coils to produce electricity. The spokes of the flywheel are optimized for the flow and density of the fluid with the ability to trans mutate using shaped memory alloys as well as rotate about their center of pressure allowing the flywheel to capture more of the energy from the fluid passing over their surfaces in all conditions. Mechanical energy losses are reduced because of the inherent stabilizing effects created by the gyroscope. Because of the stabilization, a magnetic bearing field effectively supports the gyroscope eliminating mechanical interference in rotation.

  • Publication number: 20240002063
Abstract: Electromagnetic gyroscopic stabilizing propulsion system method and apparatus is an electric gyroscope that creates magnetic fields used to rotate its flywheel. The rotation of its flywheel creates both a gyroscopic effect and thrust with airfoil shaped spokes. The invention attaches to an airframe through an articulating joint that causes the axle of the gyroscope to precess in a vertical orientation regardless of the movements/angle of the airframe. The gyroscope's thrust aligns itself with the axle of the gyroscope. The net effect is that the invention has tremendous efficiency, no external drive because it is also a motor, tremendous power from magnetic leverage of the flywheel, and stability because of the gyroscopic effect.

  • Publication number: 20230257111
Abstract: The present invention comprises a novel propulsion method and apparatus for personal air vehicles generally consisting of gyroscopic movable assembly containing a gyroscope flywheel that produces thrust. In a preferred embodiment the gyroscope is hubless. The gyroscope flywheel integrates permanent magnets along its perimeter ring while spokes with an airfoil cross-section and positive incidence angle create airflow when rotated. The spokes couple the gyroscope's perimeter ring with a smaller central hubless ring. Proximate to the gyroscope's flywheel is an electromagnet fixed assembly that produces phasing electromagnetic fields that rotate the gyroscopic movable assembly. The invention comprises a self-contained apparatus with no external motor because the assembly is a motor with a self-stabilizing gyroscope that produces directional airflow that can be used to propel air, land and sea vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20230028614
Abstract: A gyroscopic air handler provides a new powerful compact and efficient means to create airflow. At the core of the invention is a hubless magnetic chamber that rotates under its own power when acted upon by a composite electromagnetic duct. Composite field coils constructed from copper wire sheathed in a flexible iron sleeve are integrated into layers of Kevlar cloth and laid up with adhesive to create the desired shape as well as maintain the proper number of coils and spacing. Thrust bearings locate the hubless magnetic chamber within the duct. The invention can be retrofitted into the place of existing air handlers or purpose engineered for new applications. Gyroscopic inertia created by the magnetic chamber helps to dampen vibration as well as reduce the effects of unstable air conditions that can affect efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10892673
Abstract: The present invention is an electric propulsion motor that can be used to propel air, land, and sea vehicles consisting of a gyroscope's flywheel that has been split into two counter rotating sections, perimeter and hub, each section containing spokes that are shaped to produce thrust when rotated, a stator with individually controlled field coils located on its inside and outside diameters, permanent magnets integrated into the flywheel sections proximate to the stator's field coils, and a bearing system to support each flywheel section. The invention is self-contained needing no external propulsion or drive means, self-stabilizing due to the gyroscopic forces created by its spinning hub and perimeter flywheels, thrust producing because of the shape of the spokes of the two flywheels, and rotational torque cancelling with counter rotating flywheel sections. A Chimara Effect is created that both stabilizes and propels the vehicle.
