  • Patent number: 10636108
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for identifying and matching requestors and providers. For example, embodiments can display an identification pattern that is unique for a matched requestor and provider to allow the providers and requestors to quickly, easily, and accurately validate one another's identities prior to a service being provided. In some embodiments, the identification element may be presented on a provider communication device to clearly display graphics associated with an identification element to all requestors in an area so that the requestors may easily identify a matched provider.

  • Publication number: 20200082613
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for a virtual reality transportation system. In particular, the systems and methods described herein present a virtual reality experience including a virtual environment for display to a passenger including virtual inertial interactions that correspond to real-world inertial forces that a passenger experiences while riding in a vehicle. Additionally, the systems and methods described herein analyze historical sensory data to predict inertial forces that the passenger will experience while riding in the vehicle. The systems and methods also generate a virtual sensory view for display to a passenger to represent what an autonomous transportation vehicle sees by way of a sensor suite used for navigation.

  • Publication number: 20190295951
Abstract: Embodiments include an electronic package with an embedded multi-interconnect bridge (EMIB) and methods of making such packages. Embodiments include a first layer, that is an organic material and a second layer disposed over the first layer. In an embodiment, a cavity is formed through the second layer to expose a first surface of the first layer. A bridge substrate is in the cavity and is supported by the first surface of the first layer. Embodiments include a first die over the second layer that is electrically coupled to a first contact on the bridge substrate, and a second die over the second layer that is electrically coupled to a second contact on the bridge substrate. In an embodiment the first die is electrically coupled to the second die by the bridge substrate.

  • Publication number: 20190017839
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for an augmented reality transportation system. For example, the systems and methods described herein present an augmented reality environment for a driver or a passenger including augmented reality elements to mark specific locations within a display of real-world surroundings. • Publication number: 20190008574
Abstract: A system that produces temperature estimations of a tissue surface comprises a base including a motion unit. A fiber assembly includes at least one fiber constructed and arranged to receive infrared energy from the tissue surface, the fiber assembly transmissive of infrared energy; the fiber assembly including a proximal end, a distal end and a body. An optical element redirects received infrared energy to the distal end of the fiber optic. A linkage is coupled between the base and the optical element, the fiber extending through the linkage, the linkage coupled to the motion unit at a proximal end and the optical element at a distal end, the motion unit constructed and arranged to rotate the linkage about the fiber assembly to thereby rotate the optical element at the distal end.

  • Patent number: 9858668
Abstract: This invention relates generally to methods and systems for removing an artifact within an image. Typically, the artifact is a guidewire artifact. In one aspect, at least two images of an imaging surface are acquired. Each acquired image comprises a set of data. A guidewire artifact is detected in one of the at least two images. The guidewire artifact is replaced with data representing the imaging surface obtained from another one of the at least two images. In certain embodiments, the at least two images are of the same imaging surface having a guidewire or object causing the artifact moved to a different position.

  • Publication number: 20160015362
Abstract: Medical imaging devices and systems are provided. The medical imaging devices may include a transducer to transmit ultrasound signals (waves) and to receive the reflected ultrasound signals for imaging a vessel of interest. Embodiments may include disposing the transducer at a proximal end of the intravascular device and disposing a motor at a distal end of the intravascular device along with a rotatable acoustic mirror. The transducer may transmit and receive the ultrasound signals to and from the rotatable acoustic mirror via an acoustic lumen extending along the length of the device. Other embodiments may include disposing the transducer, the motor, and the rotatable acoustic mirror at the distal end of the medical imaging device. Further embodiments may include using a concentric layered structure to provide multiple conductors for transmitting signals to and receiving signals from components disposed at the distal end of the intravascular device.

  • Patent number: 7802541
Abstract: An apparatus for providing multiple vaccinations of poultry simultaneously is described. A neck injection, breast injection, two wing injections, and an eye mist or drop may be performed in one operation. The apparatus holds the bird in position for precise location of injections, thereby reducing wasted vaccine. The risk of injury to the bird during the process is minimized by greatly reducing the manual handling of the bird during vaccination. Vaccination costs are also reduced by the reduction of labor otherwise required in this process.

  • Patent number: 6684588
Abstract: A bonded swimming pool ladder anchor socket includes a substantially hollow metal housing of substantially cylindrical configuration. The housing is embedded in concrete adjacent the swimming pool with the top of the housing being open and adapted to receive the cylindrically shaped base of a swimming pool ladder for supporting the ladder. The bottom of the housing is at least partially closed to act as a stop to prevent downward movement of said ladder base beyond said bottom. An electrical bonding clamp is carried by the housing on the outer surface thereof and is adapted to securely clamp an electrical bonding conductor in order to provide an electrical bond for the housing and for the ladder. The bonding clamp includes a fixed seat for supporting the conductor and a movable screw threaded through the lower wall of a chamber located above the seat. The screw includes a head at the top thereof which is adapted to be turned by a screw driver in order to move the screw toward or away from the conductor.
