    Abstract: A display and an operating method thereof are provided. The display includes a display panel, a timing controller, and a plurality of source drivers. The timing controller has a plurality of signal output terminals. The source drivers are coupled to the timing controller and the display panel. The timing controller outputs a plurality of training packets to the source drivers. When the source drivers lock a clock of the timing controller according to the training packets, the timing controller outputs a plurality of control packets and a plurality of color data packets to the source drivers. The source drivers respectively output a plurality of pixel voltages corresponding to the color data packets to the display panel according to the corresponding control packets. The training packets, the control packets, and the color data packets are serially transmitted to the source drivers via the signal output terminals.

    Abstract: A display panel includes a scan driving circuit. The scan driving circuit includes multiple shift-registers coupled in serial. At least one of the shift-registers includes a control circuit, a pumping circuit and an output circuit. The control circuit controls a voltage at a first control node according to a start-up signal and controls a voltage at a second control node according to a reset signal. The pumping circuit is coupled to the control circuit for pumping up the voltage at the first control node. The output circuit is coupled to the pumping circuit and the control circuit for outputting multiple gate driving signals at multiple output nodes in response to the voltage at the first control node. One of the output gate driving signals is provided to a following stage of shift-register as the start-up signal thereof.

The method includes selecting one of a plurality of images matched in structure as reference image, and select another of the images as subject image; for a subject pixel in the subject image, determining a pixel corresponding to the subject pixel in the reference image; calculating similarity values of at least part of pixels in the reference image with respect to the pixel corresponding to the subject pixel; establishing weight coefficients based on the similarity values, and weighted averaging the subject pixel in the subject image to obtain a processed pixel value. With the above solutions, it is possible to use structure information of a higher-quality image in processing another image, and thus improve quality of the other image.

    Abstract: A baluster structure of handrail includes a steel-bar threaded central post, which is circumferentially enclosed by a plastic jacket and a plastic decorative portion. The steel-bar threaded central post has top and bottom respectively forming first and second joint sections. The second joint section is mounted to a stairway and the first joint section is mounted to an underside of the handrail to form a baluster. The threads of the upper and lower sections and the thread-free middle section of the steel-bar threaded central post are enclosed by the integrally formed plastic jacket and plastic decorative portion, whereby the plastic jacket and the plastic decorative portion are rotatably fixed. The baluster is mounted to the stairway to support a handrail. The baluster is of greater strength, does not deform and bend, is safe and corrosion resistant, has an extended life span, and is environmentally conservative.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses apparatus and method for ray scanning imaging. The apparatus comprises a plurality of ray generators and a ray detection device. The plurality of ray generators are arranged uniformly along a circular arc and emit ray beams in sequence or simultaneously to an object to be inspected within a single scanning period. The ray detection device may be either in a multi-segmental semi-closed configuration composed of a plurality of linear arrays of ray detectors or in a circular arc configuration where a plurality of ray detection units arranged uniformly along a circular arc. During the inspection, the apparatus is advantageous in obtaining the complete ray projection values without rotation thereof, so as to effectively shorten the inspection time.

    Abstract: A transmitter and the method therefor are provided. The transmitter is applied in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based or other multicarrier communication systems. The transmitter uses N sub-carriers. Among the N sub-carriers, L sub-carriers (or tones) are reserved for PAPR reduction. L is less than N. The method includes the following steps. Original frequency domain data symbols are generated and fed into the reserved-tone symbol generation unit. The reserved-tone symbols are generated by using pure frequency domain signal processing. Then the reserved-tone symbols are combined with original data symbols to generate combined PAPR reduction signal. The resultant PAPR reduction signal can be fed into reserved-tone symbol generation unit iteratively to obtain updated reserved-tone symbols. For proper iterations, the original data symbols combined with L frequency domain reserved-tone symbols will result in lower PAPR transmit signal.
