  • Patent number: 9264632
Abstract: A method of adaptively reducing power consumption in an image sensor includes using an electronic rolling shutter to reset pixels of the image sensor row by row. Signal charges are read out from the pixels row by row, followed by obtaining an integration time and a frame height. A power-saving signal is generated when the integration time is substantially greater than the frame height, and at least a circuitry that is not required to operate during an active period of the power-saving signal is turned off.

  • Publication number: 20150304580
Abstract: A sensing device is provided. The sensing device includes a plurality of pixel groups and a readout circuit. The pixel groups are arranged on a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns to form a pixel array. The pixel groups include a first pixel group and a second pixel group which are arranged on the different rows and the same column. The readout circuit is coupled to the pixel groups. When the first pixel group is triggered to perform a readout operation to generate a first sensing signal, the second pixel group performs a coupling operation to generate a reference signal. The readout circuit performs a subtraction operation based on the first sensing signal and the reference signal to generate a first readout data corresponding to the readout operation of the first pixel group.

  • Patent number: 8344632
Abstract: A light emitting device including a voltage source, a light emitting unit, and a current source is provided. The voltage source is coupled to the light emitting unit for supplying a voltage. The light emitting unit includes n light emitting diodes (LEDs) and n current control switches, wherein n is greater than or equal to 3. The LEDs are respectively coupled to the current control switches in series. The current control switches are turned on and off according to a current threshold. The current source is coupled to the light emitting unit for supplying a fixed current. Thereby, the luminous intensity of the light emitting device remains stable even when some of the LEDs fail.

  • Publication number: 20110109233
Abstract: A multi-channel current driver is provided. One of the channels includes a channel switch and a memory-type current mirror. A first end of the channel switch receives a reference current. A master current end of the memory-type current mirror is coupled to a second end of the channel switch. Wherein, a slave current end of the memory-type current mirror outputs a driving current according to the reference current when the channel switch provides the reference current to the memory-type current mirror, and the slave current end of the memory-type current mirror holds the driving current when the channel switch stops the reference current.

  • Publication number: 20110109614
Abstract: A driving circuit and a driving method of an light emitting diode (LED) are provided. The driving circuit includes a current source, a voltage source, a voltage detecting unit, a memory unit, and a control unit. The voltage detecting unit detects a present voltage value of the LED. The memory unit records a previous voltage value of the LED. The control unit controls the voltage source to provide a pre-charge voltage to the LED in a driving period, and to cease providing the pre-charge voltage when the present voltage value is no longer less than the previous voltage value. The voltage level of the pre-charge voltage is determined by the previous voltage value. The control unit controls the current source to provide a driving current to the LED in the driving period.
