  • Patent number: 10558701
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for suggesting images that can be conveniently included in electronic communication such as social media posts, emails, text messages, and other forms of electronic communication, based on voice input and/or emotion analysis from facial expressions of a user. A speech-to-text process converts a user's spoken utterance to text. Natural language processing performs an entity extraction on the utterance to generate a scenario summary. An image database is queried using the scenario summary and/or emotion analysis based on user facial images. A mapping rule library may be used to perform the image database query. Based on the scenario summary and/or the emotion analysis, images are presented to the user as recommended for including in an electronic communication message such as a social media post, email, or text message.

  • Publication number: 20190393614
Abstract: Provided in the present invention is an ultralight artificial medium multilayer cylindrical lens, comprising n concentric layers of different dielectric constants. The center cylindrical layer is expressed as layer 1 and is a solid cylinder. Layers 2 to n are in a sequentially outward nested arrangement surrounding the center cylindrical layer and respectively are n-1 concentric rings. The n concentric layers are assembled into a multilayer cylinder and are characterized in that the dielectric constants of the n concentric layers gradually decrease from layer 1 to layer n and vary specifically between 2.05 to 1.05. Then concentric layers are made of a base material of low dielectric constant added with a material of high dielectric constant and low specific gravity. The lens so manufactured has a total apparent density of 0.08-0.095 g/cm3.

  • Patent number: 10454592
Abstract: Techniques are described for data transfer in spin-based systems where digital bit values are represented by magnetization states of magnetoresistive devices rather than voltages or currents. For data transmission, a spin-based signal is converted to an optical signal and transmitted via an optical transport. For data reception, the optical signal is received via the optical transport and converted back to a spin-based signal. Such data transfer may not require an intervening conversion of the spin-based signal to charge-based signal that relies on voltages or currents to represent digital bit values. In addition, techniques are described to use magnetoresistive devices to control the amount of current or voltage that is delivered, where the magnetization state of the magnetoresistive device is set by an optical signal.
