  • Publication number: 20230047532
Abstract: Embodiments of this application describe a retransmission timeout (RTO) determining method and a related apparatus. The method includes a transmission device sending, to a network analyzer, a network throughput at which communication is performed through a first communication connection, where the network throughput is used by the network analyzer to determine an RTO corresponding to the first communication connection. The network analyzer obtains a first network throughput at which the transmission device performs communication through the first communication connection. The network analyzer calculates, based on the first network throughput, a first RTO corresponding to the first communication connection. The network analyzer sends the first RTO to the transmission device. The transmission device receives the first RTO sent by the network analyzer. The embodiments of this application help improve efficiency of retransmitting a lost data packet.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for assisting an unregistered user device to access private network services and a communication system. The method includes steps as follows. A request to access a private service of a private network is sent by a user device. In response to determining that the user device not registered on the private network wants to access the private service, the user device is assisted to obtain a temporary user profile by a mobile edge computing server through an emergency type attachment procedure. In response to determining that the user device is registered on the private network through the emergency type attachment procedure, a regular attachment procedure is executed by the user device based on the temporary user profile. In response to determining that the user device executes the regular attachment procedure, the mobile edge computing server provides the user device with the private service.

  • Patent number: 11557444
Abstract: Key switches of the inventive subject matter are designed to give users the tactile feel of key switches from expensive mechanical keyboards without drawback typically associated with alternative key switches. In some embodiments, key switches described in this application are designed to function with a sheet of membrane switches, while in other embodiments, key switches of the inventive subject matter incorporate optical switching in place of membrane switching. Embodiments for use with membrane switching feature a plunger and rocker combination that prevents the pressure from a user's key press from being directly transferred to a membrane switch, thereby reducing wear and tear. In optical switching embodiments, pressing the key switch causes an actuator, e.g., come between an optical emitter/receiver pair to register a key press.

  • Publication number: 20220277737
Abstract: In a method for quantitatively evaluating a pronunciation of a speaker, an acoustic signal is received from the speaker, which represents an utterance spoken in a language by the speaker. The acoustic signal is segmented into segments at the phone, word or phrase level. The acoustic signal segments are each transcribed by a high fidelity transcriber into high fidelity transcription segments that each comprises a sequence of phones that represents how the native or normative speakers of the language would likely perceive a playback of the acoustic signal segment. Each of the high fidelity transcription segments are compared to a baseline to generate one or more pronunciation scores that evaluate the pronunciation of the speaker. The baseline may be generated by transcribing the acoustic signal into an adapted transcription that comprises a sequence of phones that represents how native or normative speakers of the language would likely speak the utterance.

  • Publication number: 20220263824
Abstract: This application provides a method for determining an access device type, a device, and a system. An access device type is determined by obtaining one or more packet pairs and a time difference of each packet pair. Each packet pair includes a first packet and a second packet, where the second packet is a response to the first packet, and the one or more packet pairs pass through a same access device. Based on this solution, maintenance manpower required for determining an access device type can be reduced, and O&M personnel management complexity of operators or service providers can be reduced.
