  • Publication number: 20130345435
Abstract: A preparation method of carfentrazone-ethyl comprises steps of: reacting 1-(5-amino-4-chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-4-difluoromethyl-3-methyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-one with acrylic acid through a diazo arylation reaction to give 2-chloro-3-{2-chloro-5-[4-(difluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl]-4-fluorophenyl}propionic acid; and reacting the 2-chloro-3-{2-chloro-5-[4-(difluoromethyl)-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-5-oxo-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl]-4-fluorophenyl}propionic acid with ethanol through an esterification reaction in a presence of an acidic catalyst to give carfentrazone-ethyl.

  • Patent number: 8563256
Abstract: A process for measuring the amount of an antigen in a sample comprising the steps of binding the antigen to a solid phase, forming an antigen-antibody immunocomplex on the solid phase by applying a detection antibody that is specific for the antigen, liberating the detection antibody from the immunocomplex by applying a polypeptide that disrupts the immunocomplex by competing against the antigen for binding to the detection antibody, collecting the liberated detection antibody; and quantifying the liberated detection antibody to measure the amount of the antigen in the sample.

  • Publication number: 20130003976
Abstract: A technique for accessing features of a hardware adapter includes reading a first key from a hardware adapter and attempting to decrypt the first key with a second key. In response to the second key successfully decrypting the first key: encrypted code from the hardware adapter is read; the encrypted code is decrypted with the decrypted first key to generate unencrypted code; and a default code in an executable flash sector of the hardware adapter is over-written with the unencrypted code. In this case, the unencrypted code facilitates access to at least one feature of the hardware adapter that is customer specific. In response to the second key not successfully decrypting the first key, the default code in the executable flash sector of the hardware adapter is not over-written. In this case, the default code facilitates access to one or more features that are not customer specific.

  • Patent number: 8293487
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved, simple and quantifiable process of immunodetection with improved specificity, allowing for its large-scale applications in clinical, pharmaceutical and biomedical studies and diagnostics applications. Compared with traditional immunodetection methods, this invention eliminates gel separation and transfer steps, and the results can be directly quantified with improved specificity. This invention adds one elution step in a typical immunodetection process, where bound immunocomplex is exposed to elution solution containing excessive amount of antigen or part of antigen in single or multiple copies within one molecule, to liberate bound antibody labeled with reporter enzyme into solution for direct quantification. This invention can be particularly useful to improve both the efficiency and accuracy of Western blot, Dot blot, ELISA and protein microarray analysis in multiwell plate format.

  • Publication number: 20110271008
Abstract: An information handling device receives a packet and determines a packet destination for the packet. In turn, the information handling device either aggregates the packet in response to determining that the packet destination is a local destination, or forwards the packet in response to determining that the packet destination is a non-local destination.

  • Publication number: 20110268803
Abstract: The American Cancer Society estimated that in 2009, 1,479,350 new cancer cases would be diagnosed in the United States of which 219,440 would be lung and bronchus related. The standard treatments for NSCLC include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, laser and photodynamic therapy, all with various success rates depending on the stage of the cancer. National Cancer Institute assesses, however, that results of standard treatment are generally poor with only a 15 percent 5-year survival rate for combined cancer stages. Challenges facing the current chemotherapy drugs include excessive toxicity to healthy tissues and limited ability to prevent metastases. A dual drug delivery system described herein selectively targets the lung to deliver anti-cancer drugs and inhibit the formation of metastases.
