Abstract: The embodiments herein describe a dynamic metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) gate driver system architecture and control scheme. The MOSFET gate driver system dynamically adjusts both the gate driver turn-on-resistance and the gate driver turn-off resistance within a single (i.e., one) switching cycle to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the system and to minimize the conduction loss of a power MOSFET during operation.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, an apparatus, and a system for carrying out a multimedia service in a WLAN. The method includes: receiving a multicast data stream sent by a data server; and monitoring in real time a receiving rate of a terminal connected to an access point, if the receiving rate is higher than or equal to a multicast sending rate at which the access point sends multicast data, sending, in a multicast mode, the multicast data stream sent by the data server to the terminal, and if the receiving rate is lower than the multicast sending rate, converting the multicast data stream sent by the data server into a unicast data stream and sending the unicast data stream to the terminal. In the solution, the mode of sending multimedia data stream by the access point is determined according to the receiving rate of the terminal, which improves the transmission quality of the multimedia data stream and enhances the user experience.

Abstract: A hydraulic jack capable of displaying load and overload warning, belonging to the technical field of hydraulic lifting equipment. It comprises: a base, a lifting arm, a pump body, a handle, and a tray, wherein, a signal collection assembly designed to sense the load on the tray is arranged at the end of the lifting arm, and the signal collection assembly is electrically connected to a weighing controller arranged on either the base or the pump body, and the tray is arranged on the signal collection assembly. Since a signal collection assembly designed to sense the load on the tray is arranged at the end of the lifting arm and electrically connected to the weighing controller, the load sensing method by the aid of communication with the oil circuit in the prior art is abandoned and the leakage of hydraulic oil can be avoided; since the signal collection assembly is arranged at the end of the lifting arm, the entire assembly can be easily processed, installed, and maintained.

Abstract: The present invention discloses SNP markers associated with PCOS and provides probes, chips, primers, kits and methods for detecting the SNP markers. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of SNPs in predicting or diagnosing the risk of PCOS.

Abstract: An adjustable hydraulic horizontal jack including a frame, a hydraulic unit, a jib unit, link rods, and a handle. Here, the structures of the jib and the link rod(s) are improved according to an embodiment. With the improved structures, the jack has rational structures and can act reliably. In addition, under the parameters equivalent to those of conventional hydraulic horizontal jacks, the jack of an embodiment of the present invention can change the height of the lowest position and the load by adjusting the length of the jib and link rods. Therefore, the jack is adapted to jacking up not only a light automobile with a low chassis but also a heavy automobile with a high chassis, thus having a wider scope of application.

Abstract: A chip card holder used to hold a chip card comprises a housing having a slot defined therein for receiving the chip card therein, and an end wall, the housing including a latching portion extending from the end wall; a holder part slidably assembled in the slot of the housing; an elastic part resisted between the housing and the holder part. The holder part releasably latches to the latching portion, when the latching portion is removed from the holder part, the holder part slides away from the end wall under the expansion of elastic part and push the chip card out of the slot.

Abstract: A start-up circuit in a switch-mode power converter that employs a Zener diode to provide a reference voltage to reduce the power consumption and the size of the start-up circuit. The start-up circuit also includes a coarse current source and a coarse reference voltage signal generator for producing current and reference voltage for initial startup operation of a bandgap circuit. The reference signal and current from coarse current source and the reference voltage signal generator are subject to large process, voltage and temperature (PVT) variations or susceptible to noise from the power supply, and hence, these signals are used temporarily during start-up and replaced with signals from higher performance components. After bandgap circuit becomes operational, the start-up receives voltage reference signal from the bandgap circuit to more accurately detect undervoltage lockout conditions.

The positioning apparatus includes at least one encoder, an OPC belt, and a code strip consisting of a reference bar code region, a blank region and a normal bar code region. The OPC belt is moved relative to the encoder and has a joint region. The code strip is mounted on the OPC belt and has multiple of bar codes. The encoder is used for detecting the bar codes and generating a displacement signal representing a displacement of the OPC belt moved relative to the encoder. The blank region may adjoin the joint region. Therefore, a home position can be located precisely by the displacement signal due to the existence of the reference bar code region and blank region.

Abstract: An audio conferencing facility has a database for storing user data relating to authorisation to use the facility, and provides storage for a name file to be stored as part of the user data, which may be retrieved for generation of an audio signal to be played to one or more of the participants to a communication connection whenever that participant uses the conferencing facility. The name may be generated as an audio recording by the user, or entered as text, or retrieved from a directory in text form. It may be stored either in audio form or as text, for conversion to audio using a speech synthesiser. The name file may be played to the user on accessing the system, and/or to other participants when he joins or leaves a conference. By storing the name file for re-use in many conferences, the access to each conference is simplified. It also allows listeners-in to conferences to be announced in circumstances where speaking may be difficult because of background noise, speech impairment etc.

Abstract: A communications conference management system is prepared for the establishment of conference calls, by pre-programming the management system with identification data for participants authorised to be connected to a specific conference residing on a conference bridge. The conference management system is arranged such that connection to a specific conference residing on a bridge can be made in response to recognition of the network identifier. This facilitates access to the conference facilities.

Abstract: A positioning apparatus for a printer is provided.
