  • Publication number: 20150003360
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods, apparatuses and computer programs for a mobile transceiver 100 and for a base station transceiver 200 in a mobile communication system. The mobile transceiver apparatus 10 comprises means for receiving 12 a first configuration message from the base station transceiver 200. The first configuration message comprises information on a control region for the mobile transceiver 100. The control region indicates radio resources used by the base station transceiver 200 to transmit a control message to the mobile transceiver 100 on a control channel. The means for receiving 12 is operable to receive a second configuration message from the base station transceiver 200. The second configuration message comprises information on a search space. The search space indicates a subset of radio resources of the control region and the search space comprises a spatial radio resource.

  • Patent number: 8886463
Abstract: To characterize an earth subterranean structure using a measurement assembly including electromagnetic (EM) receivers and one or more EM sources, measured voltage data collected by EM receivers in response to transmission by one or more EM sources is received. Based on a model, predicted EM data is computed. Inversion is iteratively performed according to a function that computes a difference between the measured voltage data and a product of a term containing the predicted EM data and a term containing distortion data that accounts at least for distortion effect by an environment of the measurement assembly. The inversion is iteratively performed to solve for parameters of the model and the distortion data.

  • Publication number: 20140258204
Abstract: User-preference datapoints are collected. At least some of these datapoints are associated with user-preference information about an item (e.g., a movie), and some of these datapoints are associated with user-preference information about an attribute (e.g., a movie genre or an actor). A profile of the user is created based, at least in part, on these datapoints. When a new datapoint is collected, the new datapoint is assigned a user-preference “score.” If, for example, the new datapoint does not come with an explicit user-preference rating, then the score is based on related item and attribute datapoints already in the profile. Depending upon the relationship of the new datapoint to the already existing datapoints, a confidence value is assigned to the user-preference score. The profile is then updated with the new datapoint along with its assigned score and confidence rating. The user profile can be used in performing any number of actions.

  • Publication number: 20140254542
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for enhancing transmission of a downlink ACK/NACK signal in an LTE communication system. In order to attain the object of enhancing transmission of a downlink ACK/NACK signal, the invention proposes an enhanced design of the current PHICH and thus makes an enhanced PHICH (E-PHICH). The enhanced design is focused primarily upon the following aspects: the first aspect is to configure an E-PHICH in the legacy PDSCH and to transmit an ACK/NACK signal in the E-PHICH so that a UE demodulates the E-PHICH to obtain the ACK/NACK signal. The second aspect is to improve a PHICH-and-PUSCH association design by designing an implicit association between an E-PHICH index and a radio frequency resource occupied by a UL grant (in a legacy PDCCH or an E-PDCCH) and an explicit association between a PUSCH scheduled by a UL grant and an E-PDCCH respectively and to transmit an ACK/NACK signal in the E-PHICH so that a UE demodulates the E-PHICH to obtain the ACK/NACK signal.

  • Patent number: 8666074
Abstract: An optical fiber secure communication apparatus and a data encryption method therefor are provided. The apparatus comprises a transmitter and a receiver being connected with each other via an optical fiber. The transmitter comprises a PPC processor unit, a field programmable gate array test board, a light-emitting module, an optical fiber coupler and a connection optical fiber. The receiver comprises a wavelength division multiplexer, a connection optical fiber, a photodetector, a field programmable gate array test board, a PPC processor unit and a signal output interface. At the transmitter end, two or more paths of input data are forwarded by the PPC, encrypted by the FPGA and then transmitted to the light-emitting module of two or more wavelengths for conversion from electrical signals into optical signals. At the receiver end, signals of two or more wavelengths enter the photodetector for conversion into electrical signals, which are decrypted by the FPGA and then forwarded by the PPC for output.

  • Publication number: 20040108655
Abstract: The present invention is an educational and recreational apparatus having a geometrical structure or game device, which can be any structure of geometrical shapes with a plurality of nodes composed by edges. The game device can be designed as two-dimensional or three-dimensional, single-plane or multi-plane, latticed or non-latticed geometrical structure. Said nodes of a game device are categorized by the degree of freedom defined by the number of edges connected to the node. The game is played with two groups of spherical game pieces and begins with no game pieces positioning on the game device. While in playing, each player put a game piece in turn on nodes of the game device. Said game piece cannot be moved or removed after being put on a node until it is captured by opponent pieces. The player who occupies more nodes than opponent wins the game.
