    Abstract: A method of upcycling cathode active materials is provided. The method includes mixing two or more precursor materials at ambient temperature to form a first eutectic mixture. The method further includes mixing a cathode active material with the first eutectic mixture to form a second eutectic mixture. The method further includes subjecting the second eutectic mixture to a two-step calcination process. The two-step calcination process includes first calcining the second eutectic mixture at a first temperature for a first period of time to obtain an intermediate material and second, calcining the intermediate material at a second temperature for a second period of time to obtain an upcycled cathode active material. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature, and the upcycled cathode active material has a composition that is different than a composition of the cathode active material. A cathode active material formed by the method is also provided.

    Abstract: An autonomous driving control method for a vehicle may include: obtaining a road surface image from a sensor of the vehicle; detecting road surface damage from the road surface image using an image detection algorithm; determining a damage degree of the detected road surface damage and a damage distance of the road surface damage from the vehicle; and adjusting an autonomous driving strategy for the vehicle based on the damage degree and the damage distance. The autonomous driving control method for the vehicle can detect potholes or cracks in front of road accurately in real time and adjust the autonomous driving strategy based on a detection result, ensuring safety of passenger in the vehicle and improving passenger experience during the autonomous driving process.

Uplink communication is performed in the one or more subsequent periods, based on the resource allocation data and the SPS period.

According to the method, the kitchen waste is treated under aerobic fermentation to prepare the carbon source, a carbon-nitrogen ratio is greater than 40, and the carbon source is used to supplement a carbon source in a sewage treatment process of a sewage plant, which significantly improves nitrogen and phosphorus removal effects of sewage treatment in the sewage plant, and provides theoretical foundation and basis for resource utilization of the kitchen waste.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for separating a neural crest derived cell from peripheral blood. In the present disclosure, a mononuclear cell is separated from the peripheral blood and then directly cultured, thereby maximizing use of a neural crest stem cell with a differentiation potential to avoid loss of the neural crest stem cell. In the method of the present disclosure, a sample to be separated is derived from the peripheral blood. The method shows less trauma and low cost. Most importantly, compared to extracting the neural crest derived cell from tissues, the neural crest derived cell extracted from the peripheral blood can be used clinically as a type of biomarker.

    Abstract: A method of recycling lithium-ion batteries is disclosed. The method includes isolating a composite electrode that comprises an electrode material adhered to a current collector with a polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) binder from a spent lithium-ion battery. The method also includes contacting the composite electrode in a polyol fluid capable of releasing the PVDF binder from the current collector without substantially altering either component. The composite electrode may be a cathode or an anode. The method also includes rapidly delaminating the electrode material from the current collector to give a free electrode material and a free current collector, and recovering each of the free electrode material and the free current collector from the mixture. The free electrode material may be reused to prepare another composite electrode, as well as a lithium-ion battery comprising the same, which are also disclosed.
