  • Publication number: 20190266191
Abstract: The method of the present disclosure includes: after a graph partitioning apparatus extracts an edge, first determining whether an aggregation degree between a currently extracted edge and an allocated edge in a first device satisfies a preset condition; then, when the preset condition is satisfied, determining whether a quantity of allocated edges stored in the first device is less than a first preset threshold; and allocating the currently extracted edge to the first device when the quantity is less than the first preset threshold. In this way, an aggregation degree between allocated edges in each device is relatively high and each device has relatively balanced load. When an edge changes and an edge associated with the particular edge needs to be synchronized, a relatively small quantity of devices need to perform synchronization and update, so that costs of communication between devices are reduced, and distributed graph computing efficiency is improved.

  • Publication number: 20190257654
Abstract: Sense amplifiers for use in connection with microelectromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscopes are described. The sense amplifiers may be configured to change the level of a gyroscope signal, i.e., the signal produced by a gyroscope in response to angular motion, to a level suitable for processing circuitry arranged to infer the angular velocity. The sense amplifier may further provide a DC discharge path allowing for discharge of the DC component of the output signal. The DC discharge path may include an anti-aliasing filter and a resistive circuit. The anti-aliasing filter may filter the output signal to maintain the resistive circuit in the linear region. The anti-aliasing filter may be designed with a frequency response such that discrete frequency sub-bands are blocked or at least attenuated. The frequency sub-bands may be tuned to substantially match the gyroscope's resonant frequency and its integer multiples.

  • Publication number: 20190195700
Abstract: Middle-of-line (MOL) metal resistor temperature sensors for localized temperature sensing of active semiconductor areas in integrated circuits (ICs) are disclosed. One or more metal resistors are fabricated in a MOL layer in the IC adjacent to an active semiconductor area to sense ambient temperature in the adjacent active semiconductor area. Voltage of the metal resistor will change as a function of ambient temperature of the metal resistor, which can be sensed to measure the ambient temperature around devices in the active semiconductor layer adjacent to the metal resistor. By fabricating a metal resistor in the MOL layer, the metal resistor can be localized adjacent and close to semiconductor devices to more accurately sense ambient temperature of the semiconductor devices. The same fabrication processes used to create contacts in the MOL layer can be used to fabricate the metal resistor.

  • Patent number: 10309782
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods of determining the quality factor of a resonating body in ways that are advantageous over previously known methods. For example, embodiments allow the determination of the quality factors of a resonating body without preventing the simultaneous use of the resonating body. For micromachined (“MEMS”) devices, embodiments allow the determination of the quality factors of a resonating body in a manner that is not dependent on transduction parameters of the MEMS device.

  • Publication number: 20190063923
Abstract: A method for detecting frequency mismatch in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) gyroscopes is described. Detection of the frequency mismatch between a drive signal and a sense signal may be performed by generating an output signal whose spectrum reflects the physical characteristics of the gyroscope, and using the output signal to determine the frequency fC of the sense signal. The output signal may be generated by cross-correlating a random or pseudo-random noise signal with a response signal, where the response signal can be obtained by allowing the noise signal to pass through a system designed to have a noise transfer function that mimics the frequency response of the gyroscope. Since the noise signal is random or pseudo-random, cross-correlating the noise signal with the response signal reveals spectral characteristics of the gyroscope. To improve computational efficiency, the cross-correlation can be performed on demodulated versions of the noise signal and the response signal.

  • Patent number: 9938146
Abstract: The present invention relates to high efficient tubular catalytic steam reforming reactor configured from about 0.2 inch to about 2 inch inside diameter high temperature metal alloy tube or pipe and loaded with a plurality of rolled catalyst inserts comprising metallic monoliths. The catalyst insert substrate is formed from a single metal foil without a central supporting structure in the form of a spiral monolith. The single metal foil is treated to have 3-dimensional surface features that provide mechanical support and establish open gas channels between each of the rolled layers. This unique geometry accelerates gas mixing and heat transfer and provides a high catalytic active surface area. The small diameter, high aspect ratio tubular catalytic steam reforming reactors loaded with rolled catalyst inserts can be arranged in a multi-pass non-vertical parallel configuration thermally coupled with a heat source to carry out steam reforming of hydrocarbon-containing feeds.
