  • Patent number: 5686696
Abstract: A transformer pad is disclosed for receiving and supporting a utility transformer and for collecting and containing leaking liquid from the transformer. The transformer pad includes a container in the shape of a box having an open top and providing a containment reservoir for containing liquid leaking from a transformer. A cover is provided on the open top, and the cover has a containment area onto which a utility transformer can be disposed and which includes one or more openings for receiving any leaking liquid from the transformer and directing the liquid to the interior of the container. A seal member is disposed on the cover adjacent the containment area for providing a seal around the periphery of a transformer.

  • Patent number: 4951088
Abstract: A toner mass developed control system for use with electronic printers or copiers provides for the measurement of toned photoconductor reflectivity and bare photoconductor reflectivity. The standard control ratio is modified by characterizing the particular sensor unit in use and by taking into account the reflectance from both photoconductor and toner in the toned patch reflectivity measurement. These factors together with a modification for photoconductor reflectance degradation enable accurate control in high optical density development and with highly reflective color toners by altering the control ratio in accordance with these factors.

  • Patent number: 4075077
Abstract: An electrolytic cell for production of alkali metal chlorates has pairs of spaced flat parallel perforate cathodes and has flat imperforate anodes resident within each pair of cathodes, with each cathode having a plurality of horizontal slots therethrough, within an electrically conductive tank. Electrically insulative chemically resistive bumpers on either side of each anode maintain the anode spaced from the pair of cathodes within which the anode resides. The cell bottom and two sides are formed of a single member; the cell top is electrically insulated from the remainder of the cell.

  • Patent number: 3976447
Abstract: A gaseous mixture containing up to 20% of hydrogen fluoride and other gases inert to alkaline earth metal fluorides is passed in contact with particulate anhydrous alkaline earth metal fluoride prepared by the fluorination of anhydrous alkaline earth metal chloride in the absence of water. After the anhydrous alkaline earth metal fluoride has taken up the desired amount of hydrogen fluoride, up to its absorption capacity, the hydrogen fluoride is removed therefrom, e.g. by heat regeneration, and the alkaline earth metal fluoride is reused to absorb additional hydrogen fluoride from said gaseous mixtures.
