Abstract: A method of transmitting a control signal in a wireless communication system includes receiving data or a control signal, and transmitting a feedback signal through a control channel in response to the data or the control signal, wherein the control channel comprises a plurality of mini-tiles in a plurality of tiles, each of which consists of at least one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in a time domain and at least one subcarrier in a frequency domain, and if the plurality of tiles have the same pilot pattern, the plurality of mini-tiles are cyclically selected from the plurality of tiles, and if the plurality of tiles have cyclically-arranged pilot patterns, the plurality of mini-tiles are selected at the same position from the plurality of tiles.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a broadcast physical layer packet in a mobile communication system supporting multi-slot transmission and hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (H-ARQ) are provided. The method comprises initially transmitting the broadcast physical layer packet according to a fixed transmission format for at least one first slot interval and retransmitting the broadcast physical layer packet for at least one second slot interval using a variable transmission format different from the transmission format used in the first slot interval.

Abstract: A composite memory device including discrete memory devices and a bridge device for controlling the discrete memory devices in response to global memory control signals having a format or protocol that is incompatible with the memory devices. The discrete memory devices can be commercial off-the-shelf memory devices or custom memory devices which respond to native, or local memory control signals. The global and local memory control signals include commands and command signals each having different formats. The composite memory device includes a system in package including the semiconductor dies of the discrete memory devices and the bridge device, or can include a printed circuit board having packaged discrete memory devices and a packaged bridge device mounted thereto.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and materials for isolating, purifying, and/or enriching the concentration of compounds having one or more phosphate groups and/or derivatives thereof, including but not limited to phosphorylated peptides and/or phosphorylated proteins. In some aspects, the present invention provides nanostructured enrichment materials, such as metal oxide mesoporous materials, that selectively and reversibly bind with phosphorylated compounds with high specificity and are capable of controlled release of phosphorylated compounds bound to their active surfaces. Mesoporous materials of the present invention also provide enrichment materials having large active surface areas that provide for higher loading capacities for phosphorylated peptides and proteins relative to conventional affinity based methods.

Abstract: A microelectronic structure includes a conductive pad on a substrate. The conductive pad includes first and second openings extending therethrough. A first conductive via on the conductive pad extends through the first opening in the conductive pad into the substrate. A second conductive via on the conductive pad adjacent the first conductive via extends through the second opening in the conductive pad into the substrate. At least one of the conductive vias may be electrically isolated from the conductive pad. Related devices and fabrication methods are also discussed.

Abstract: A slide mechanism used in portable electronic device is described including a main plate, a slide plate, a parallelogrammically-shaped slider, and two guiders. The slider is attached to the slide plate. The guiders are attached to the main plate and configured for deformably guiding the slider to move therealong. The slider is positioned between the guiders. During the sliding process of the slide plate with respect to the main plate, two corners of the slider deform the guiders to slide the slide plate along the main plate.

Abstract: A compound for filling small gaps in a semiconductor device and a composition comprising the compound are provided. The composition can completely fill holes having a diameter of 70 nm or less and an aspect ratio (i.e. height/diameter ratio) of 1 or more in a semiconductor substrate without any defects, e.g., air voids, by a general spin coating technique. In addition, the composition can be completely removed from holes at a controllable rate without leaving any residue by the treatment with a hydrofluoric acid solution after being cured by baking. Furthermore, the composition is highly stable during storage.
