Abstract: A substrate supporting unit, a substrate processing apparatus, and a method of manufacturing the substrate supporting unit are provided. The substrate supporting unit includes a susceptor provided with heaters to heat a substrate placed on the susceptor, and including a first temperature region and a second temperature region having a higher temperature than that of the first temperature region; a heat dissipating member including a contact surface being in thermal contact with the second temperature region; and a reflecting member disposed approximately in parallel with one surface of the susceptor to reflect heat emitted from the susceptor toward the susceptor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sintered bearing and a preparation method thereof, wherein the method comprises: a step for forming a mixed powder by mixing metal powder, kish graphite, and lubricant; forming a molded body by applying pressure to the mixed powder; forming a sintered body by sintering the molded body; and impregnating the sintered body in oil. The invention is prepared by adding 0.01-10 parts by weight of kish graphite to metal powder and thus provides excellent abrasion resistance, strength, and self lubricity.

Abstract: A contactless, three-dimensional fingerprint scanner apparatus, method, and system are described. The contactless fingerprint scanner can provide either, or both, topographical contrast of three-dimensional fingerprint features and optical contrast of a three-dimensional fingerprint surface. Data captured from scanning of a target with known geometric features mimicking fingerprint features can be examined as images or surface plots and analyzed for fidelity against the known target feature specifications to evaluate or validate device capture performance as well as interoperability. The target can be used by scanner vendors and designers to validate their devices, as well as to perform type certification.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of coating carbon nanotube-reinforced plastic, which enables higher productivity and cost reduction by omitting one or more steps as compared to a conventional coating process, and which allows a paint film to be superior in adhesion and brilliance. The inventive method includes: a plastic-forming step for forming a plastic article to be coated from a plastic material mixed with a minute quantity of nanotubes; a pre-treatment step for removing oil-fat and foreign matters from the plastic article; and a surface coat coating step for coating the plastic article with paint directly on the surface of the plastic article so as to protect the plastic article.

Abstract: A speed reduction mechanism is provided to a strap supporting post having a winding mechanism capable of automatically winding a strap around it; the reduction mechanism includes a rotary member turnable together with the winding mechanism, and a stationary member secured to on top of the post; the rotary member has rubbing bars pivoted to a middle part thereof; the rubbing bars are biased towards the middle part by tension springs; centrifugal force will act on the rubbing bars when the winding mechanism rotates after the strap has been released from stretched position; the rubbing bars are pivoted towards the stationary member when speed of rotation of the winding mechanism is so high that the centrifugal force is greater than force of the tension springs, thus slowing down rotation of the winding mechanism, and preventing the free end of the strap from swing too fast.

Abstract: A tape measure comprising a calibrated tape, a reel shaft around which the tape is reeled up into a spool, and a housing in which the reel shaft is rotatably mounted and the spool is received. In order to avoid the disadvantages resulting from a too fast reel-up speed, there is provided a unilateral deceleration brake, which effects only in the reel-up direction of the tape, with a plurality of brake shoes and corresponding presressed spring means and a rotor carrying the brake shoes, wherein the rotor is coaxially and unrotatably mounted on an extension part of the reel shaft, and the brake shoes are pivotally jointed to the rotor and biased by the spring means to remain in a first position, in which the brake shoes are spaced from the inner wall of the housing by a predetermined clearance.

Abstract: A leg of a table includes a connecting portion, and an elongated supporting portion. The connecting portion includes two lateral plates secured to bottom of a table's top, and several horizontal portions formed between the lateral plates. The horizontal portions have through holes aligned with each other. Annular walls are formed around the through holes. The annular walls are shaped such that the inner sides thereof taper off towards an upper end of the inner side of the uppermost one. The elongated supporting portion has pads on an upper end, of which the outer sides taper off towards an upper end. The elongated supporting portion is joined to the connecting portion with the pads being inserted into the annular walls; thus, the pads will be forced further into the connecting portion when more weight is placed on the table, making the table more steady.

Abstract: A thermoplastic elastomeric composition, which comprises liquid 1,2-polybutadiene, EPDM rubber, a polyolefin resin, a curative system consisting of phenolic resin and peroxide, and a co-curing agent, the 1,2-polybutadiene and EPDM rubber being at least partially cured, shows well-balanced various properties including physical properties, elasticity and thermal resistance in addition to being superior in oil resistance at high temperatures and processability.
