    Abstract: A method for transmitting signal, at a mobile station, in a wireless communication system is provided. Inter-cell interference level control parameter information may be different for each frequency partition due to use of an FFR scheme. This method is advantageous in that, when uplink transmission is performed, system throughput and cell edge-user throughput are improved and inter-cell interference level control is efficiently performed, thereby improving a Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) at the receiving end.

    Abstract: A method is described for transmitting signals in a mobile communication system which splits an information block into a plurality of split-information blocks and performs a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process upon each of the split-information blocks. A method is also described for reducing control information overhead by transmitting control information only through one control channel when splitting an information block and transmitting split-information blocks through a plurality of subframes or a plurality of resource blocks. The segmentation of the information block is performed in a physical layer to reduce medium access control (MAC) overhead and to simplify implementation.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting a synchronization channel using multi-antenna is disclosed. In a method for transmitting a synchronization channel for using a synchronization channel as a phase reference when decoding a broadcast channel, the method includes using a pre-decided shift value for each antenna, wherein the shift value is pre-decided with a user equipment, so as to apply circular shifts to sequences of the synchronization channel, and transmitting the sequences having the circular shifts applied thereto from a base station to the user equipment. Herein, space frequency/time block codes (SFBC/STBC) may be applied to the broadcast channel. In performing time/frequency domain synchronization in the synchronization channel, regardless of the number of transmission antennae used by the base station when transmitting signals, the synchronization process may be performed. Also, multi-antenna gain may be obtained when transmitting the synchronization channel.
