  • Patent number: 8831102
Abstract: The invention is related to prediction of a lost or damaged block of an enhanced spatial layer frame. A method for predicting a lost or damaged block of an enhanced spatial layer frame comprises the steps of determining an adjuvant frame in the enhanced spatial layer by help of reference information from a lower spatial layer frame corresponding said enhanced spatial layer frame, generating an information reduced block by help of said adjuvant frame and predicting the lost or damaged block by help of the information reduced block. The reference information of the corresponding lower spatial layer frame can be decoded independently from any lower spatial layer reference frame and the adjuvant enhanced spatial layer frame is already decoded. Thus, the computational effort is reduced. By generation of the information reduced block the prediction is made smoother which makes it less vivid and therefore less salient to a user.

  • Publication number: 20130346060
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a translation interfacing apparatus and method using vision tracking. The translation interfacing apparatus includes a vision tracking unit, a comparison unit, a sentence detection unit, a sentence translation unit, and a sentence output unit. The vision tracking unit tracks a user's eyes based on one or more images input via the camera of a portable terminal, and extracts time information about a period for which the user's eyes have been fixed and location information about a location on which the user's eyes are focused. The comparison unit compares the time information with a preset eye fixation period. The sentence detection unit detects a sentence corresponding to the location information if the time information is equal to or longer than the eye fixation period. The sentence translation unit translates the detected sentence.

  • Publication number: 20120150529
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a translation knowledge server, which can generate a translation knowledge server based on translation knowledge collected in real time is provided. The apparatus for generating translation knowledge server may include: data collector which collects initial translation knowledge data; data analyzer which performs morphological analysis and syntactic analysis on the initial translation knowledge data received from the data collector and outputs analyzed data; and translation knowledge learning unit which learns real-time translation knowledge by determining target word for each domain from the analyzed data based on predetermined domain information or by determining a domain by automatic clustering. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain translation knowledge by analyzing documents present in a web or provided by a user in real time and to improve the quality of translation by applying the obtained translation knowledge to a translation engine.

  • Patent number: 8166416
Abstract: A multimedia play menu is generated into an auto playgroup organizer system for a multimedia player by using intelligence cursor/scroll sequence functions programmed for operation by an input device such as a hand-held mobile mouse. The intelligence cursor/scroll can sense any type of digitalized item or symbol displayed on the LED or LCD screen of the multimedia player. When the intelligence cursor/scroll function senses a click/press sequence symbol representing the position of a song, it will start to carry out a click/press sequence function as a user wishes. The more clicks/presses are applied by the intelligence cursor/scroll on the sequence symbol before a song/item, the higher the position for that song/item is created, analyzed, recorded and carried out.

  • Publication number: 20100020865
Abstract: In the case of packet loss during transmission over an error-prone transmission channel, some decoders may perform error concealment. In real-time systems, application decoders must handle the data loss alone and find out which data are missing. A special syntax within a packet-based framework is provided which is based on identifying and indicating the relationship between RTP packets and the application layer data they carry, before the packets are fed to the multi-layer application decoder. This helps the decoder to employ proper error concealment techniques in time, and prevents unnecessary processing in the decoder. A data stream comprises RTP packets containing application data of a multi-layer application, wherein an RTP packet (p2) contains two kinds of application layer information (NBf, NBn): one relating to the next RTP packet (p3), and one relating to the previous RTP packet (p1). In case of packet loss, the decoder can immediately determine the amount and type (VCLx) of missing data.

  • Publication number: 20080133218
Abstract: The present invention performs machine translation by matching fragments of a source language sentence to be translated to source language portions of an example in example base. When all relevant examples have been identified in the example base, the examples are subjected to phrase alignment in which fragments of the target language sentence in each example are aligned against the matched fragments of the source language sentence in the same example. A translation component then substitutes the aligned target language phrases from the matched examples for the matched fragments in the source language sentence.

  • Patent number: 6809722
Abstract: A hand-held or palm mobile mouse is contained in a mini hand-held shaped housing to be held in the palm of a user with a sphere arranged on the top easily and naturally reached by the user's thumb. The thumb of the user can rotate the sphere, which contains a magnetic core inside, to cause a corresponding cursor movement on a computer screen through a magnetically activated rolling movement detection unit or units and press down on the sphere to carry out click function commands or menu functions pointed to by the cursor on the screen. Alternatively, the magnetic core may be omitted by supporting the sphere on four free rolling roller units, two of which are used to implement the rolling movement detection function. There may also be key-buttons on the area where the user's fingers rest to implement click function by a user's fingers. There may also be a wheel/click button for cursor extension movement and click command functions.
