Abstract: A fastening assembly and method uses a belt loop/snap arrangement in which a belt loop of a pair of pants or other garment is combined with a female or male snap part. The other mating snap part half (male or female) is attached to the bag or carrying case of an electronic device such as a cellular phone, CD player, or wearable computers, etc. The belt loops on which the snap parts are attached can be sewn on pants in vertical, horizontal and criss-cross arrangements to form “I” type, “H” type, “X” type, “Y” type and “V” type arrangements. The snap fasteners are preferably placed on the middle area of the belt loop and at the center to about the upper ⅓ to ⅕ of the back side of the bag or carrier for the electronic device.
