Publication number: 20200139249Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for virtual walking, which relates to the field of games. In the present disclosure, geometric-shape attribute parameters of a physical area in which a user walks may be acquired. Then, a plurality of virtual areas each matching the geometric-shape attribute parameters may be obtained in a virtual scene. Further, when the user walks to a corner of a physical area, a target virtual area is selected from the plurality of virtual areas and a virtual person corresponding to the user may be transferred from a current virtual area to the target virtual area. The current virtual area may be a virtual area among the plurality of virtual areas corresponding to the user's current walking status. Therefore, the method and apparatus for virtual walking in the present disclosure enable infinite virtual spaces within the confines of limited physical spaces without visual deviation.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2016Publication date: May 7, 2020Inventors: Yanhang CHEN, Jin YAO, Yan HUANG

Publication number: 20200103300Abstract: A manifold assembly configured to measure differential pressure of fluid. The manifold assembly may have a monolithic body with an internally drilled fluid pathway. The body supports a differential pressure transducer that communicates, on either end, with the internally drilled fluid pathway. This configuration can generate data that defines pressure drop across impellers or other mechanisms on metrology hardware (or “gas meters”). Utilities can use this data to diagnose health or other conditions on the gas meter in the field.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2018Publication date: April 2, 2020Inventor: Richard Jin Yao

Patent number: 10587209Abstract: An energy harvester for use to provide power to metrology hardware like gas meters and flow measuring devices. The energy harvester may include an actuator that mounts to a substrate found in the gas meter or in an adjacent, collateral device like a pressure regulator. The substrate may embody a diaphragm or membrane, possibly a thin, flexible or semi-rigid member. The actuator may include piezoelectric transducers that mount to this member. In operation, the piezoelectric transducers can generate an electrical signal in response to mechanical activity (or energy) from the thin member. The electrical signal can be directed to the flow device to replace, supplement, or recharge a power source that powers electronics necessary to expand functions on the flow meter.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2017Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Natural Gas Solutions North America, LLCInventor: Richard Jin Yao

Patent number: 10281746Abstract: An optical transmitter includes a reflective semiconductor optical amplifier (RSOA) coupled to an input end of a first optical waveguide. An end of the first optical waveguide provides a transmitter output for the optical transmitter. Moreover, a section of the first optical waveguide between the input end and the output end is optically coupled to a ring modulator that modulates an optical signal based on an electrical input signal. A passive ring filter (or a 1×N silicon-photonic switch and a bank of band reflectors) is connected to provide a mirror that reflects light received from the second optical waveguide back toward the RSOA to form a lasing cavity. Moreover, the ring modulator and the passive ring filter have different sizes, which causes a Vernier effect that provides a large wavelength tuning range for the lasing cavity in response to tuning the ring modulator and the passive ring filter.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2018Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Xuezhe Zheng, Ying Luo, Jin Yao, Ashok V.
