Abstract: A method of palette coding to apply the palette coding to sub-blocks of a coding unit and to allow each sub-block to use an individual palette table is disclosed. If the current coding block is not partitioned, the palette coding is applied to the current coding block using a first palette. If the current coding block is partitioned into multiple sub-blocks, the palette coding is applied to each sub-block using an individual second palette. Each sub-block may correspond to one prediction unit (PU). In another embodiment of the present invention, a method is disclosed that skips update of palette predictor such as last coded palette table, last coded palette size and palette predictor size associated with the current coding block if the current palette size is smaller than or equal to palette update size.

Abstract: An ultrasonic flow meter system includes a conduit defining a channel, at least one pair of first transducers, at least one second transducer, and a processor. The pair of first transducers is mounted on the conduit and includes a transmitting transducer and a receiving transducer for generating a first responsive signal. The transmitting transducer and the receiving transducer are arranged on a chordal path. The second transducer is mounted on the conduit for generating a second responsive signal. The processor is configured to receive the first responsive signal and the second responsive signal, select one responsive signal according to a relationship of the first responsive signal and noise thereof and a relationship of the second responsive signal and noise thereof, and determine a flow rate of a flow medium according to the selected responsive signal. A method for measuring the flow rate of the fluid medium is also provided.

Abstract: A method for color index coding of blocks in a picture is disclosed. In one embodiment for the decoder side, a current coding mode is parsed from the input coded bitstream for one or more first currently decoded pixels in a current block starting from a first starting position. If the current coding mode corresponds to a generalized copy-previous-row mode, one or more first reference pixels starting from a first starting reference position located at T-th row above the first currently decoded pixels are identified, where T is an integer equal to or greater than one. The first reference pixels starting from the first starting reference position are then used to decode the first currently decoded pixels starting from a first starting position by copying the first reference pixels starting from the first starting reference position respectively. The system may also include a copy-left mode or escape mode.

Abstract: An intra prediction method comprises receiving input data of a current block in a current picture, determines a current mode set including multiple intra prediction modes for the current block, derives a number of MPMs from the number of intra prediction modes in the current mode set, and determines the MPMs for the current block. The number of MPMs varies with the number of intra prediction modes in the current mode set. The method encodes or decodes the current block according to a current intra prediction mode selected from the current mode set. To process a non-square block, a current mode set is selected from multiple mode sets according to one or both of a longer side and a shorter side of the non-square block. A current intra prediction mode is selected from the current mode set and the non-square block is coded according to the current intra prediction mode.

The spray head is capable of four spray functions, and has an outer shell; a flow body extending within the shell, a first end extending out of the shell for attachment to a faucet and a second end in fluid communication with a spray selector assembly. The flow body defines a flow path from the first end of the flow body to a flow selector assembly. The spray head includes a flow selector assembly comprising: a selector valve housing body having at least four valve recesses therein; at least four flow selector valves seated within the recesses in the selector valve housing body; and a rotating selector valve ring. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a method for video coding. The method includes receiving input data associated with a current block in an image frame, generating an inter predictor of the current block, and generating an intra predictor of the current block based on samples of neighboring pixels and an intra prediction mode that locates the samples of neighboring pixels. The method further includes generating a final predictor of the current block by combining the inter predictor and the intra predictor according to one or more intra weight coefficients associated with the intra prediction mode, and encoding or decoding the current block based on the final predictor to output encoded video data or a decoded block. The one or more intra weight coefficients indicate one or more ratios that corresponding one or more portions of the intra predictor are combined with the inter predictor, respectively.

Abstract: The present specification discloses methods for scanning objects for the presence of lithium batteries. Normalized transmission X-ray data is used to generate organic, effective Z, and attenuation-based images. These images are then segmented using a combination of thresholding and region growing techniques to identify regions of interest. The regions are classified as lithium batteries or other objects, based on characteristics such as area of the region, its organic intensity, Zeff number, shape, spatial arrangement and texture.

Abstract: Methods for coding syntax related to palette coding generated in a video coding system are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the current block size checked against the pre-defined block size. If the current block size is larger than the pre-defined block size, a current coding mode is selected from a coding group excluding a palette coding mode. If the current block size is smaller than or equal to the pre-defined block size, the current coding mode is selected from a coding group including the palette coding mode. In another embodiment, if the current block size is greater than a maximum transform size, a current coding mode is selected from a coding group excluding a palette coding mode. If the current block size is smaller than or equal to the maximum transform size, the current coding mode is selected from a coding group including the palette coding mode.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for video coding including an IntraBC (Intra-block copy) mode with flipping for prediction unit (PU) with a non-2N×2N partition size is disclosed. An IntraBC mode is selected from a mode group comprising a normal IntraBC mode and a flipping mode for a current PU with a current PU size belonging to a size group including at least one PU size selected from 2N×N, N×2N and N×N and N is a positive integer. When the IntraBC mode is used for the current PU, a flipping flag is signaled in a current PU-level syntax to indicate whether the current PU is coded using the flipping mode. Furthermore, when the current PU is coded using the flipping mode, a flip-direction flag is signaled in the current PU-level syntax to indicate a flipping direction of a corresponding flipped reference block.

The disclosed test access interface can control testing logic core, interconnections with the memory die and with another logic die. A method incorporating an embodiment of the present invention determines one or more palette sharing flags for the current block. A set of current palettes corresponding to the set of color components is generated according to the palette sharing flags. If a first palette sharing flag is asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are copied entirely from one or more reference palettes of a set of reference palettes. If the first palette sharing flag is not asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are derived from a bitstream associated with the video data. Encoding or decoding is then applied to the current block according to the set of current palettes.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing carbonated water through a typical kitchen faucet. The faucet-integrated carbonation system can include a carbonated water reservoir coupled to a residential or commercial cold water supply line as well as a CO2 tank, all of which can be mounted under a kitchen countertop or the like. The water held in the reservoir can be carbonated using the CO2 when a user activates a CO2 activation mechanism. The system can further include a carbonated water on/off valve for dispensing carbonated water from the carbonated water reservoir via a waterway with an outlet disposed at the end of the faucet.
