  • Publication number: 20060110108
Abstract: A tunable light transceiver module for adjusting a photoelectric device is provided. The tunable structure includes a photoelectric device, a stage, and a set of two-dimensional actuators having a first direction actuator and a second direction actuator. The photoelectric device is installed on the stage. The first direction actuation device and the second direction actuation device are coupled to the stage for controlling the movement of the stage along the first direction and the second direction, which are parallel to the stage. The tunable module may comprise an additional vertical actuator for controlling the movement of the stage along the direction perpendicular to the stage, thus realizing the displacement adjustment in three dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20050033985
Abstract: A system for initiating and maintaining a real time audio or video media session between two clients, at least one of which has a private network IP address and is supported by a NAT firewall, comprises a proxy server serving each client and a relay server. The first proxy server may receive an invite message from a caller client to initiate a media session with a callee client. The invite message will identify the IP address and media port number of the caller client. The proxy server queries the relay server to obtain a port number of the relay server that may be used for relaying the media session between the caller client and the callee client. The proxy server will replace the IP address and port number of the caller client with the IP address and port number of the relay server in the invite message before forwarding to the callee client.

  • Patent number: 6196598
Abstract: A drill rod for a drill string has a thread at each end and is connected to an adjacent rod by a sleeve. The threads on the sleeve and rod are configured to reduce stress concentrations and provide sacrificial wear on the sleeve. The thread has a single start with a part circular root and the wear volume on the sleeve is less than that on the rod. The outer diameter of the rod is at least twice that of the inner bore.

  • Patent number: 6052093
Abstract: This invention discloses a small slot antenna incorporated within a flat circuit board and having a three dimension omni-directional radiation pattern. In one embodiment, the antenna is formed as an L shaped slot along two edges of the circuit board of a miniature radio transceiver. The antenna is ideally suited for use in applications where radio frequency inventory tags (operating in the high VHF to low UHF frequency ranges of 400 to 500 mHz) are associated with items for which a high level of inventory control is required. It is important that such tags be able to communicate with vertical and horizontal polarized signals with reasonable gain. This invention features a low cost for manufacture and has application in radio communications in general wherever there is a requirement for a small transceiver with an integrated, orientation insensitive antenna.

  • Patent number: 5767813
Abstract: An efficient electrically small loop antenna includes a radiation device, an impedance matching network, and a connector that interfaces to associated electronic circuitry. The radiation device includes a conductive planar base element extending in a base plane and a conductive loop connected to the planar base element. The loop connects to the base element so that the electrical current for the antenna flows through both the conductive loop and the planar base element. The impedance matching network matches the radiation device to the associated electronic circuitry. The matching network is integrated into the planar base and is connected to both the conductive loop and the base element so that the electric current supplied to the antenna is conducted through both the base element and the conductive loop.
