Based on the solution provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, the aspect of being able to schedule the PDSCH of one or more serving cells on one physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) can be achieved and resources occupied by the PDCCH can be saved.

A user equipment (UE) determines the number of HARQ-ACK feedback information bits that the UE needs to transmit in an uplink subframe, and determines the number of uplink control information (UCI) bits to be transmitted in the uplink subframe based on the number of the HARQ-ACK feedback information bits, the number of channel state information (CSI) bits, and the number of scheduling request (SR) bits that need to be transmitted in the uplink subframe, and transmitting the UCI according to the PUCCH format and the resource for transmission of PUCCH determined. With the present disclosure, UCI information may be transmitted using different formats in different PUCCH formats.
