  • Publication number: 20140140274
Abstract: The mobile station 2-1 determines whether a current maximum transmission rate is sufficient or not in a predetermined cycle by using a maximum transmission rate R indicated by a pointer, a volume Q of data accumulated in the buffer 22-1 and a requested delay T determined according to service of data. The mobile station 2-1 transmits a determination result as an RR signal in a predetermined control signal field within an uplink E-DPCH to the base station 1. The base station 1 receives an RR signal from the mobile station 2-1, determines an increment/decrement of the maximum transmission rate allowed for the mobile station 2-1 to use such that a noise rise fails to exceed a predetermined threshold value and notifies the mobile station 2-1 of the determination as an RG signal by a downlink E-DPCCH. The mobile station 2-1 ups or downs the position of the pointer according to the RG signal.

  • Publication number: 20140112238
Abstract: Even when a radio terminal cannot receive content data from a base station to which the radio terminal serves, the radio terminal receives the content data from other base station. A wireless communication system (1) includes a plurality of radio base stations (21 to 23) and a radio terminal (40). The radio terminal (40) serves to a specific radio base station (serving radio base station) among the radio base stations (21 to 23). Moreover, the radio terminal (40) receives content data which is broadcasted or multicasted from a non-serving radio base station among the radio base stations (21 to 23) according to a gap pattern.

  • Publication number: 20140105161
Abstract: A communication control method is provided which improves a wireless resource usage rate, is available to recognize a variation in wireless resource state in advance, and is available to control communication in accordance with the variation in a mobile communication system in which an MBMS and an HSDPA coexist and the same wireless resource is shared and used. A MAC-m transmits information related to a wireless resource used on an MBMS transport channel at a transmission timing of a base station to a MAC-hs before the transmission timing. The MAC-hs receives the information related to the wireless resource of the MBMS transport channel from the MAC-m. The MAC-hs calculates a wireless resource which can be used applied to data of a HSDPA transport channel at the transmission timing with using the information related to the wireless resource of the MBMS transport channel and a wireless resource to which the HSDPA transport channel is allocated.

  • Patent number: 8688134
Abstract: A resource allocation control method and device that can reduce inter-cell interference in a radio communications system are provided. According to a method for resource allocation control between a plurality of cells in a radio communications system, radio communication devices respectively controlling at least two cells notify information about control resources of its own cell to each other. In the resources of its own cell, each of the radio communication devices sets a buffer resource within a predetermined resource range corresponding to a control resource of the other cell. At a request for information transmission in its own cell, each of the radio communication devices restricts the allocation of the set buffer resource.

  • Patent number: 8553676
Abstract: The present invention provides a wireless communication system which can reduce the probability that a latency before data transmission increases when a mobile station that is actually in sync is judged to be out of sync based on a timeout of the timer used for judging whether a mobile station is in a deemed in-sync state or in a deemed out-of-sync state. A base station of a wireless communication system which performs communication between a mobile station and the base station, includes a timer unit which sets a period for judging whether an uplink signal from the mobile station is synchronized; and a timer control unit which is capable of determining the period for each of mobile stations and notifies the period to each of the mobile station upon RRC establishment or RRC re-establishment.

  • Patent number: 8520643
Abstract: Base stations control the transmission rate that is used by UE (user equipment) to forward them information. A UE periodically forwards a rate request to a base station if the UE needs to have its data transmission rate to the base station increased or decreased, and the base station responds with a rate command. An error can occur in the transmission of the rate command, such that a rate Rnb transmitted by the base station and detected by the UE as Rue may not match. Various schemes are proposed for reducing and correcting such transmission errors. A first scheme involves periodically resetting the transmission rate of the base station and UE with a reference rate. Second to fourth schemes involve periodically comparing the transmission rates of the base station and UE, and replacing the rate of the UE if they differ. A fifth scheme involves a filtering of the feedback command in order to reduce the impact of error propagation.
