Abstract: A storage stable dye composition having a pH of from 9 to 11, the dye composition comprising: (a) oxidation dye precursor, (b) at least 8 wt % of carbonate salt, (c) at least 2 wt. % of a fatty phase comprising fatty alcohol and quaternary conditioning agent, (d) hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, and (e) carrier, wherein the quaternary conditioning agent is present in the dye composition in an amount of at least 0.5 wt. %, and wherein the ratio of fatty alcohol to quaternary conditioning agent is 4:1 to 0.5:1. Hair coloring compositions formed from such dye compositions, as well as methods of coloring hair using such hair coloring compositions, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A luggage with a built-in weighing device is disclosed. The built-in feature eliminates a need for having an external weighing device which may not be readily available. The built-in weighing device and a display panel will allow consumers to know the exact weight when packing the bag for a trip. The display can also serve as an electronic tag (e-tag) to store and display personal information such as name, address, telephone number, etc. Other features such as electronically locking and unlocking of the bag, a tracking code or a calling feature can also be integrated.

Abstract: A permanent hair coloring composition is described, the hair coloring composition being produced by combining individually packaged dye, developer and salt components just prior to application to the hair, wherein the dye, developer and salt components are formulated to provide the hair coloring composition with relatively high levels of ammonium carbonate salt, additional soluble carbonate salt other than ammonium carbonate salt, and chelating agent, the ammonium carbonate salt to additional carbonate salt being present in a ratio, by weight of from about 1:0.6 to about 1:1.6, wherein, based on the combined weight of the dye, developer and salt components, the composition has a total soluble carbonate salt content of greater than about 10% by weight, and at least about 1 % by weight of chelating agent. Kits for preparing and methods for using such hair coloring compositions are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for permanently dyeing hair is provided which includes subjecting the hair to a number of treatments, having a set time interval between each two consecutive such treatments, and wherein each treatment comprises contacting the hair for a period from about 5 seconds to about 3 minutes with a recently made mixture of an alkaline and an acidic composition, followed by a rinsing step. A shampoo or conditioner base is present in the alkaline and acidic compositions.

Abstract: Foaming propellant compositions for use in hair mousse compositions described. These compositions contain hydrofluorocarbon 152A and a suitable hydrocarbon in a ratio of about 30 to 70; to about 50 to 50; more preferably about 40 to 60. These compositions comprise the hydrofluorocarbon 152A; and a hydrocarbon, selected from the group consisting of propane, isobutane, and n-butane in the above recited ratios. The above propellant mixture is about 4 to 9 wt. % of total foaming, hair care composition.

Abstract: By combining a fluoroscein-based dye with a mercaptan based permanent waving composition and maintaining the pH of the resulting composition between about 2.5 and 4.5, a composition is achieved which simultaneously colors and permanently waves the hair. In addition, even if no coloring or dying of the hair is desired, the use of a colorless or complimentary fluoroscein-based dye with the mercaptan based permanent waving composition achieves a composition which imparts a substantially improved curl configuration to the hair as well as substantially longer lasting curls. Preferably, the mercaptan based permanent waving composition employed comprises an ester of either thioglycolic acid, thiolactic acid, or the amide of 2-aminoethanethiol.
