  • Publication number: 20030130373
Abstract: The invention concerns a dental composition comprising bisacrylamides that are polymerizable by free-radical polymerization and by Michael-addition polymerization with amines. The application of polymerization and addition polymerization with amines opens the possibility to completely reacted materials that have no oxygen inhibited layers. The claimed bisacrylamides have an improved hydrolytic stability.

  • Patent number: 6503084
Abstract: A method of venting during sealing the cartridge. The cartridge body has an external wall, a generally cylindrical internal chamber wall having an internal chamber wall diameter and enclosing a cartridge chamber, and at least one channel wall forming a channel (or groove) in the chamber wall. The piston has a generally cylindrical plug wall positioned adjacent to the generally cylindrical internal chamber wall. The cylindrical plug wall has a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the cylindrical internal chamber wall. Dental material is conveyed into the cartridge chamber. The piston is pressed into the cartridge chamber while venting gas from the cartridge chamber through the channel prior to forming a hermetic seal around the dental material in the cartridge chamber.

  • Publication number: 20020082318
Abstract: The synthesis of self-adhesive polymerizabe monomers and their application as a water containing and a water free self-adhesive dental/medical composite is described. The dental/medical composite comprises a self-adhesive polymerizabe monomer, a polymerizable monomer, an acid-reactive and/or reactive and/or non-reactive filler, a diluent, a polymerization initiator and a stabilizer. As polymerization initiators are used the commonly known thermal initiators, redox initiators and/or photo initiators. The new adhesive dental composite develops adhesion to dentine of about 4 MPa.
