Abstract: A machine (1) for preparing beverages comprising a machine casing (2) and discharge (7) including a discharge casing (71) with an opening (72) confined by a side wall (73) and a base wall (74) that includes at least one discharge passageway (75) disposed on a side opposite to the opening (72). The discharge casing (71) comprises retention elements (76) arranged in substantially mutually opposite positions on the perimeter region of the casing opening (72), whereby the retention elements (76) provide a removable retention along a vertical longitudinal plane of said discharge casing (71) on the machine casing (2). Thus, the opening (72) is confined above by a downwards oriented portion of said machine casing (2) when retained thereon by said retention elements (76). The retention elements (76) are adapted to provide retention on the machine casing (2) and release therefrom by manual actuation thereof without requiring the use of tools.

Abstract: A beverage discharge disposition comprising a discharge casing (1) configured so that can be provided in the front region of a beverage preparation machine (20), including the option of supplying milk and frothed milk, whereby said discharge casing (1) presents a milk circulation disposition (2) that is characterized in that presents a simple and compact construction adapted so that can be attached in removable manner to an attached part of said discharge casing (1) and to provide an ergonomic use of said beverage preparation machine (20). Abstract: A composite pipe termination is provided. The composite pipe includes a composite pipe wall thickness and a cut end. An annular part of composite material is attached around the outside of the composite pipe at the cut end. The annular part has a radial thickness which tapers towards the composite pipe in the direction along the composite pipe away from the cut end to provide an exterior surface having a tapered portion. A pinning structure includes one or more pins which extend through the annular part and partially through the composite pipe wall thickness to further attach the annular part to the composite pipe.

Abstract: In the method for the epoxidation of an olefin, the olefin is continuously reacted with hydrogen peroxide in a mixed reactor in the presence of a water soluble epoxidation catalyst, comprising a manganese complex, the reaction is carried out in a reaction mixture comprising an aqueous liquid phase and an organic liquid phase with mixing of the liquid phases, reaction mixture is continuously withdrawn from the mixed reactor and separated into a separated aqueous phase and a separated organic phase, and part of the separated aqueous phase is continuously recycled into the mixed reactor, with the combined hold-up time of aqueous phase in withdrawing, separating phases and recycling aqueous phase being kept at less than 15 minutes.

Abstract: The present invention provides a neutral point controller for use with a three level rectifier. In one embodiment, the neutral point controller includes a primary drive circuit configured to provide primary drive signals for the three level rectifier thereby establishing output voltages having a common neutral point. Additionally, the neutral point controller also includes a current balancing compensator coupled to the primary drive circuit and configured to maintain the common neutral point within a predefined voltage by adjusting the primary drive signals based on a current balancing feedback signal. In an alternative embodiment, the neutral point controller further includes a duty cycle compensator coupled to the current balancing compensator and configured to maintain the common neutral point within the predefined voltage by adjusting the primary drive signals based on a direct balancing pulse width modulation signal.
