    Abstract: The present invention provides a treadmill for allowing an exerciser to perform walking or running exercise on an endless belt. The treadmill is selected to be operated in a forward movement mode or in a reverse movement mode. In the reverse movement mode, a control unit of the treadmill controls a driving device to drive a top surface of the endless belt to slide forward for allowing the exerciser to simulate backward walking. When a detecting device detects that the exerciser enters a warning area in front of a normal range of movement, a reaction mechanism would be triggered to control the driving device to slow down or stop the endless belt. In the forward movement mode, the control unit controls the driving device to drive the top surface of the endless belt to slide backward and to disable the reaction mechanism.

The two connecting assemblies define two pedal portions for supporting a user's feet, and up-and-down movement of the pedal portions causes rotation of the two cranks along a circular path. The guiding device is configured to connect the two swing members for guiding swing movement of the two swing members within a predetermined swing range. The predetermined swing range is adjustable so as to provide various exercise paths.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an exercise apparatus for allowing a user to perform an exercise. The user drives at least one moving member to rotate a flywheel. The flywheel must overcome a resistance generated by a magnetic field generating module during rotation. In a preferred embodiment, the magnetic field generating module is supported by a flexible support member and tends to restore to an initial position. The magnetic field generating module will be pushed by the flywheel in a rotational direction of the flywheel and to generate a corresponding displacement. The displacement or the deformation of the support member is measured by a first measuring device so as to appropriately calculate the output force of the user, and further obtains power, metabolic equivalent or calorie consumption rate if correlated with rotational speed of the flywheel or corresponding parameters measuring by a second measuring device.

The temperature of the temperature variable area could also be controlled to reduce to a suitable temperature that the hand of the user can feel cool, for example, a temperature between 20 and 36 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the temperature variable area could be directly controlled by the user or automatically changed according to the exercise status of the user.
