  • Publication number: 20080285518
Abstract: A system and method for route optimization in PMIP having a first mobile node having a local mobility anchor and anchored at an access router and a second mobile node anchored at an access router is presented. The method includes establishing a binding cache at one access router comprising a mapping of mobile node addresses to access router addresses, populating the binding cache, and updating the mapping of the mobile node addresses in response to a handoff of a mobile node from one access router to another access router, so that a packet is transmitted from the first mobile node to the second mobile node using the mapping in the binding cache. The second access router address is obtained by either transmitting the packet from the first mobile node to the local mobility anchor, or querying neighboring access routers, or broadcasting access router addresses from the local mobility anchor.

  • Publication number: 20080117104
Abstract: A satellite tracking method is provided. The satellite tracking method first groups satellites into at least two groups on the basis of their arithmetic relationships, then determines whether any satellite of one selected satellite group is within the vision range of a receiving end with the use of a low dimension correlation device, and if that is the case synchronizes the satellite with the receiving end with the use of a full dimension correlation device.

  • Publication number: 20080070573
Abstract: The present invention advantageously provides several systems and methods for solving the trombone routing issues within an IMS/MMD network. These approaches avoid trombone routing, speed up handoff, and increase the efficiency of signaling and overall performance of an IMS/MMD network. These solutions can broadly be divided into the following categories. Piggy-backing SIP registration over MIP (Split at FA); Selective Reverse Tunneling and Tunneling between FA and P-CSCF; the SIP-based mobility protocol; use of CoA during SIP registration and call up in MIPv6; Piggy-backing SIP registration when HA and S-CSCF Co-exist; Using Dynamic Home Agents in MIPv4 FA-CoA; and the Interceptor-Caching Approach.

  • Publication number: 20030149928
Abstract: The present invention provides a turbo-code decoder that adopts the parallel and systolic array VLSI structure design. Since the output of previous level can be used as the input of next level. So the advantages of the parallel and the pipeline calculation are totally achieved. The latency is only N+M+2 units of time, the latency is shorten to as about ⅕ comparing to the conventional sequential calculation structure that takes 5*(N+M) units of time. The decoding throughput is about 5*(N+M) times higher than the conventional decoder. Although the quantity of the circuit gate is about 5*(N+M) times higher than the conventional decoder. However, the VLSI techniques had been progressively improved nowadays, thus the hardware complexity is easy to overcome. Devoting the hardware cost to get the higher speed will be a changeless trend.

  • Patent number: 5999610
Abstract: A method for managing communications between a service origination node and a plurality of serving nodes where the serving nodes are simultaneously active for a particular trigger to thereby generate a reply to the service origination node. The method includes the step of determining control options for each trigger indicative of service categories by capturing service interaction principles supplied by a serving node services expert acting as a mentor. The service interaction principles are based upon a requirement of executing service categories in each of the serving nodes for each trigger. The method also includes the step of controlling execution of each of the service nodes and the service categories for the particular trigger with reference to the control options to generate the reply.

  • Patent number: 5975592
Abstract: A lock assembly comprising a housing, a control mechanism, one pin or two pins supported by the housing for shifting movement of the pin or of the two pins in a direction transverse to direction of movement of the control mechanism between a locked position and an unlocked position and a spring for each pin for enhancing the shifting movement of the corresponding pin toward the unlocked position and for automatically returning the corresponding pin toward the locked position upon release of the control mechanism. When the control mechanism is pushed manually, the pressure which is exerted upon pushing the control means compresses the spring around the pin or two pins which each shifts in a direction transverse to direction of movement of the control mechanism between the locked position and the unlocked position. Meanwhile, shifting of the pin or of the two pins permits the sliding of a cut-out section of the control mechanism until the pin or pins strike against the cut-out sections of the control mechanism.
