  • Patent number: 10264003
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic using network computers. Monitoring triggers associated with one or more conditions and one or more actions may be provided. A monitoring engine may monitor information that is associated with network traffic associated with networks based on an inspection detail level. The monitoring engine may compare the monitored information to the conditions associated with the monitoring triggers. The monitoring engine may activate one or more monitoring triggers based on a result of the comparison. The monitoring engine may modify the inspection detail level based on the actions associated with the activated monitoring triggers to increase the amount of the information monitored by the monitoring engine. An analysis engine may provide analysis of the network traffic based on the monitored information.

  • Publication number: 20180288092
Abstract: Systems and methods related to a wireless communication system include detection of and protection from relay-in-the-middle attacks. A first wireless device receives a data packet transmitted by a second wireless device and determines whether the data packet includes a jitter introduced by the second wireless device based on a function of a shared key between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The first wireless device determines whether a relay-in-the-middle attack is present between the first wireless device and the second wireless device based on whether the data packet includes the jitter. The first wireless device may withhold transmission of sensitive messages based on a determination that the relay-in-the-middle attack is present.

  • Publication number: 20180270592
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to connecting wireless devices based on a correlation between different audio sources. For example, according to various aspects, a first wireless device may capture sound via a microphone and receive audio content from a second wireless device via a wireless receiver. Accordingly, a wireless connection may be established between the first and second wireless devices based on a substantial match between the sound captured via the microphone and the audio content received via the wireless receiver. For example, the sound captured via the microphone may be output from a speaker on the second wireless device. In other examples, the received audio content may be sound captured via a local microphone at the second wireless device. In either case, the correlation between the audio received through the microphone and the audio content received over a radio may substantially simplify the procedure(s) used to connect two audio-enabled devices.

  • Patent number: 10044559
Abstract: Systems and methods for provisioning devices to access a wireless communication network are described. This provisioning is based upon a correlation between a first time value when operating power is applied to a first device, and a second time value when operating power is applied to a second device. These two time values may be compared using messaging between the two devices, and provisioning information may be transmitted from one device to another based upon an observed correlation between the two time values.

  • Patent number: 10038611
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic using network computers. A monitoring engine may monitor network traffic associated with a plurality of entities in a network to provide metrics. A device relation model may be provided based on the plurality of entities, the network traffic, and the metrics. Interest information for a user may be provided based on one or more properties associated with the user. An inference engine may associate each entity in the plurality of entities with an interest score based on the interest information, the device relation model, and the metrics. An alert engine may generate a plurality of alerts associated with the plurality of entities based on the metrics. Some of the alerts may be provided to the user based on ranked interest scores associated with the entities.

  • Patent number: 9992287
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes one or more computing devices of a proxy server, in response to receiving a message from a token reader, generating a federated session token in relation to the message and sending a request for federated access to social-networking information of a first user of a social-networking system, where the request contains the federated session token. The method also includes one or more computing devices of the social-networking system, in response to receiving the request for federated access, validating the request based at least in part on one or more configuration settings associated with the first user and establishing a federated access session with the proxy server. The method also includes one or more computing devices of the proxy server, retrieving, by the federated access session, the social-networking information of the first user from the social-networking system.

  • Patent number: 9819634
Abstract: A messaging system receives a message that is intended for a recipient, who is a user of a social networking system. An object associated with the message is identified based on the message content and/or metadata associated with the message. The messaging system accesses a social networking system database to obtain social information about a relationship between the recipient and the identified object. The message is then indexed using the social information, wherein an entry for the message is stored in a message index based on the social information. This process may be repeated for each received message, and multiple different message indexes may be generated for received messages to track different types of social information. A user interface for viewing messages uses the message index to organize the messages, such as to filter, categorize, and/or sort the messages in the display.

  • Patent number: 9743449
Abstract: Packets are communicated between a first device and a second device, over a primary data channel, according to an interval. The first device receives over the primary data channel a request from the second device to establish a secondary data channel. The request includes secondary connection parameters including an offset relative to events on the primary data channel, and a sub-interval relative to the interval. Acknowledgement is exchanged and the first and second devices communicate over the secondary data channel according to the secondary connection parameters.

  • Patent number: 9668294
Abstract: A packet is received at a device, over a connection between the device and another device indicating suspending the connection. The device suspends the connection and stores a suspended connection attribute record having connection attributes for resuming the connection. The device receives an advertisement packet having a resume suspended connection request, and determines if the resume suspended connection request is a request to resume the connection associated with the suspended connection attribute record. If determining is affirmative, the device resumes the connection according to the stored connection attributes.
