Abstract: Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for streaming a walkthrough for an application or an online service. A database storing data objects identifying walkthroughs and walkthrough stages can be maintained. A request can be received from a first computing device of an author of a first walkthrough. A first walkthrough stage of the first walkthrough can be generated. The first walkthrough stage can comprise an interactive demonstration of a first feature of the application or online service. The first walkthrough stage can be caused to be displayed in a first user interface at a second computing device of a user interacting with the first walkthrough. Input can be received from the second computing device. It can be determined that the user has performed an interaction with the first feature. A visual indicator can be caused to be displayed in a second user interface at the first computing device.

Abstract: Automatically discovering and re-establishing wireless connections to other devices in a mobile computing environment (MCE) may be achieved by monitoring connections of different devices with the UE, correlating the connections of the different devices, determining an MCE based on the correlations, and storing information associated with the MCE. A known MCE may accordingly be automatically detected based on an identification of at least one of the different devices, for example, and connection with one or more of the different devices may be automatically re-established to re-establish the MCE based on the stored information.

This process may be repeated for each received message, and multiple different message indexes may be generated for received messages to track different types of social information. A user interface for viewing messages uses the message index to organize the messages, such as to filter, categorize, and/or sort the messages in the display.

Abstract: A releasable vehicular boot coupled to a vehicle's tire is designed to immobilize the tire. The vehicular boot includes a triangular sheet having a hole situated proximate the first corner of the sheet, a first chain having a first end coupled to the second corner of the triangular sheet and a second end coupled to the third corner of the triangular sheet to create a loop in the first chain, and a second chain having a first end slidably mounted to the first chain. The loop in the first chain is disposed around the tire. The second chain is disposed through a suspension component of the vehicle and the hole in the triangular sheet. The second end of the second chain is coupled to a locking mechanism to prevent a detachment of the second chain from the hole in the triangular sheet.

Abstract: A method is provided for treating a Mendelian disorder of the epigenetic machinery (e.g., Kabuki syndrome) in a subject in need thereof. In particular, the method comprises administering to the subject a ketogenic composition in an amount sufficient to produce a physiologically acceptable ketosis in the subject. A method for selecting a subject for treatment of a Mendelian disorder of the epigenetic machinery (e.g., Kabuki syndrome) is also provided. Ketogenic compositions and kits useful for practicing the methods are also provided.

Abstract: A messaging system facilitates communication between users through various messaging channels. The messaging system supports multiple communication channels and includes a messaging module that automatically selects one or more of the messaging channels for delivering a message to a recipient of the message using, for example, a set of policy rules or a trained model. The messaging module may also provide, in a user interface for sending and receiving messages, a visual indication of the selected messaging channel to the sender of the message to provide the user with transparency about how the message will be delivered. Additionally, the message may be delivered via multiple messaging channels, where the messaging module may rescind messages from some of the messaging channels upon receiving a reply from the recipient of the message or other confirmation that the recipient has seen the message via one of the communication channels.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a wireless device for Bluetooth Low Energy technology utilizes interlaced advertising and scanning on a same advertising channel to improve power efficiency. In an embodiment, a device transmits an advertising packet on an advertising channel, waits for an inter frame space, listens for any connection request or scan request during a listening time slot, and upon not receiving a connection request or scan request, begins a scanning window on the same advertising channel to listen to advertising packets. If no advertising packets are received, the advertising channel is incremented and the process of interlaced advertising and scanning begins again.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for establishing a wireless connection are disclosed. In an embodiment, a first communication device transmits a first advertising signal for a first period of time, the first advertising signal configured to advertise that the first communication device is available to establish a first wireless connection, scans for a second advertising signal for a second period of time, the second advertising signal transmitted by a second communication device and configured to advertise that the second communication device is available to establish a second wireless connection, and listens for a third signal for a third period of time, the third signal transmitted by a third communication device in response to the first advertising signal, the third period of time occurring during the second period of time.

One or more of the walkthrough stages can be identified as being relevant based on the first user interface layout and one or more data objects in the database. The one or more relevant walkthrough stages can be processed to generate a walkthrough. The walkthrough can be stored as a data file in a database of a database system.

Abstract: Methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory processor-readable storage media for authenticating a computing device to access functionalities. An embodiment method may include operations for receiving in the computing device a signal from a proximity beacon device, obtaining from the received signal information that indicates whether the proximity beacon device has detected movement, determining whether the obtained information matches stored data corresponding to the proximity beacon device, performing an abbreviated authentication operations for the computing device to access the functionalities when it is determined that the obtained information from the received signal matches the stored data, and performing a normal authentication operations for the computing device to access the functionalities when it is determined that the obtained information from the received signal does not match the stored data.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes one or more computing devices of a proxy server, in response to receiving a message from a token reader, generating a federated session token in relation to the message and sending a request for federated access to social-networking information of a first user of a social-networking system, where the request contains the federated session token. The method also includes one or more computing devices of the social-networking system, in response to receiving the request for federated access, validating the request based at least in part on one or more configuration settings associated with the first user and establishing a federated access session with the proxy server. Abstract: Frequency bands for Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) communications are selected to avoid interference with the cellular communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, the frequency bands for Bluetooth/WLAN communication are selected to avoid channels that are within a predetermined distance of a harmonic of a cellular (e.g., wireless wide area network) receive frequency band. That is, a frequency band is selected that is at least a predetermined distance from the cellular receive frequency bands.

Abstract: Aspects disclosed herein relate to improving NFC RF discovery through monitoring RF activity associated with one or more RATs. In one example, a first NFC device may be configured to use both a first RAT and NFC. The first NFC device may monitor RF activity on a first RAT to determine whether there is at least a greater probability that a second NFC device is within a threshold. The NFC device may be also configured to modify at least an interval between polling modes in a NFC RF discovery loop based on the determination.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to federated access to social networking information of a user initiated upon activation of a physical access token. A user may initiate a workflow, by activating a physical token, that establishes a federated access session between a third-party system and a social networking system to allow the third-party system to augment the user's experience with social networking information without the user directly accessing either the third-party system or the social networking system.

Abstract: Various aspects directed towards a wearable identity manager system are disclosed. In a first aspect, an association status between a user and a wearable identity manager device is ascertained based on whether the wearable identity manager device is worn by the user, and motion data associated with a movement of the wearable identity manager device is monitored. Authentication data, which includes the motion data, is then transmitted based on the association status. In another aspect, an association status between a user and a wearable identity manager device is again determined based on whether the wearable identity manager device is worn by the user. Here, however, the wearable identity manager device is paired with a pairing device, and authentication data is transmitted to the pairing device based on the association status to facilitate a user authentication via the pairing device.

Abstract: A messaging system that organizes and presents messages to users of the messaging system. The messaging system includes a mailbox module that receives messages and generates conversation threads from the messages. Messages received from different electronic message channels may be aggregated into a common conversation thread. The conversation threads are also organized in a message interface and then presented to a user of the messaging system. The messaging system may include a social networking system that stores social information about users, which can be used to organize the conversation threads. Other features include a multi mode message interface, and a method for adding contextual information to messages.
