Patent number: 8693172Abstract: A mounting system for a flat panel display includes a back assembly, a pair of arm assemblies, and a mounting assembly. Back assembly can include a slide plate connected to arm assemblies allowing arm assemblies and mount assembly to be horizontally shifted without the need to remove the mount from the wall and reattach it. Arm assemblies can include substantially hollow arms having removable covers for storing wires connected to display therein. Mounting assembly can include a tilt head that provides a path of rotation about a substantially horizontal axis that extends proximate the center of gravity of the mount and a flat panel display mounted thereon, allowing for easy adjustment and rotation of display, Mounting assembly can also include a pair of brace arms each comprised of two members configured to allow mount assembly to be expanded to mount various sized displays without extending beyond the width of the display.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2009Date of Patent: April 8, 2014Assignee: Milestone AV Technologies LLCInventors: Scott Russell, Nick Stanek, Joel W. Patent number: 7243892Abstract: A mounting system for a display such as a flat panel computer monitor or television includes a linkage of individual elements which are pivotally connected together with adjustable drag tapered bearings. Each tapered bearing allows individual elements to pivot with respect to one another about an axis defined by the tapered bearing, so that the display can be moved to a variety of different positions. By tightening the adjustable drag, the tapered bearing can lock the elements together.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2004Date of Patent: July 17, 2007Assignee: CSAV, Inc.Inventor: Joel W. Pfister

Publication number: 20040139893Abstract: An improved, multifunctional furniture system having a novel fastening means which permits the easy assembly of structural components. The system includes vertical panels connected to a host structure to form the furniture. The host structures, fasteners, and vertical panels form the furniture system without the need for horizontal cross supports. The fasteners are cams that are rotated which engage locking members on the host structure, and thus allows for quick assembly of the components.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2004Publication date: July 22, 2004Applicant: Decade Industries, Inc.Inventors: James G. Patent number: 6446313Abstract: A mechanical locking connector having a wedge, a wedge receiver, and an actuator. A wedge aligns closely to the interior of a wedge receiver and is forced by an actuator to expand opposing sides of the wedge receiver outwardly to frictionally engage any suitably shaped receptor having two corresponding opposing engageable sides.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2001Date of Patent: September 10, 2002Inventor: Joel W. Patent number: 6442805Abstract: An attachment system for configured slots which utilizes pivotally opposed major and minor jaws which can be biased in a closed or in an open position. The major and minor jaws are aligned in the receptor cavity of a configured rectangular tube and are actuated to fully and to frictionally engage the receptor cavity. Such actuation also causes outwardly-facing grooves on the ends of the major and minor jaws to engage a suitably-shaped configured slot on a configured tube or other structure. Such preceding action connects a configured rectangular tube and a structure having a suitably-shaped configured slot by the use of the intermediate major and minor jaws. Provisions are also made for snapping engagement of the pivotally opposed major and minor jaws of biased open major and minor jaws with a suitably-shaped configured slot.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2001Date of Patent: September 3, 2002Inventor: Joel W.
