  • Patent number: 6723250
Abstract: A method of producing structured wafers guarantees that the edge of the wafer will be protected from attack by an aggressive etchant medium without applying a photoresist to the edge and without using additional mechanical measures. In a type of negative process, a passivation layer is applied to the areas that are not to be structured, including the edge area of the wafer.

  • Patent number: 6667448
Abstract: A contact element for an electrical switching apparatus includes two electrical contacts for electrical conductors. A contact bridge is disposed in an actuating tappet for connecting and interrupting an electrical connection between the two electrical contacts. The actuating tappet is movable in an axial direction in a casing. The actuating tappet may be disposed in the casing in two positions so that in one position the actuating tappet is rotated 180 degrees about a transverse axis of the actuating tappet relative to the other position so as to be operable in opposite axial directions and enable the switching apparatus to be useable for both front side and rear side mounting.

  • Publication number: 20030070905
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact element for an electrical switching apparatus. The problem to be resolved comprises to minimize the expenditure related to construction parts. For this purpose a contact element is disclosed having an actuating tappet, wherein the actuating tappet is constructed such that a contact bridge is disposable in two different positions having an axial distance from each other at the actuating tappet.

  • Patent number: 6409363
Abstract: A control and signaling unit or a signaling unit having a light-emitting element, made up of a front element and a mounting adapter for locking the functional elements into place. This is achieved in that only one light-emitting diode having a diode crown and connecting wires are integrated in the functional element, the diode crown being embedded and retained in a receptacle, the light-emitting diode having an angle of radiation of 30-45°. The light-emitting diode has a luminosity of at least 0.5 candela, and an electronic circuit is arranged on circuit conductors, secured to the inner housing wall of a housing half and applied using a foil heat-embossing process.

  • Patent number: 6301494
Abstract: A transmitter for collecting human pulse by means of flexible bands comprising flexible bands projecting like wings from a transmission unit of a transmitter for human pulse measurement. The flexible bands have contact surfaces of the transmission unit on the inner side and can be stretched around a rib cage by means of a stretch band. To ensure reliable contact and comfortable wearing properties of the flexible bands, the flexible bands have holes each of which widens from the inner side towards the outer of the flexible bands.
