  • Publication number: 20160322129
Abstract: A transmission cable includes a conductor or a bundle of conductors extending along a longitudinal axis, which is circumferentially covered by an insulation layer having an extruded insulation material, whereby the transmission cable passes the electrical type test as specified in Cigré TB496, whereby the rated voltage U0 is 450 kV or more. The type test includes subjecting the power cable to a DC voltage of 1.85*U0 during 10 to 15 cycles at negative polarity, followed by a polarity reversal with another 10 to 15 cycles at positive polarity at a DC voltage of 1.85*U0, followed by additional 2 to 5 cycles during at least 4 to 10 days at positive polarity, and wherein U0 is 450 kV, or 525 kV, or more.

  • Patent number: 9482715
Abstract: A method for determining conductivity of cable insulation of a cable including at least one conductor that determines the central axis of the cable and insulation layer surrounding the conductor longitudinally and radially includes steps of retrieving a cable sample from a cable, which sample includes a length of at least one insulation layer and preparing an insulation sample from the cable sample. The insulation sample is prepared from cable sample by cutting a circular layer having a set thickness at desired radius from the central axis of the cable.

  • Patent number: 9423164
Abstract: Method and device for defrosting of an evaporator (1) in a heat pump (2) connected to an air handling unit (9), which comprises a controllable heat recovery device (10). The heat pump (2) comprises a refrigerant system (3) with a refrigerant (4), a compressor (5), a condenser (6), a first expansion valve (7) and an evaporator (1). A four-way valve (8) is arranged after the compressor (5) and before the condenser (6), for changing a flow direction of the refrigerant (4) to the evaporator (1) instead of the condenser (6). The heat recovery device (10) recovers energy from first air stream (11) and transfer energy to second air stream (12). When frost formation occurs, the refrigerant temperature is increased and the recovery device (10) is regulated down so that heating of the evaporator (1) is accomplished, both from inside and outside to defrost the evaporator (1).
