    Abstract: A base station transmits a resource grant indicating a plurality of options from which a wireless device is permitted to select for use in transmitting user data on an uplink during random access. Each respective option comprises a transport block size (TBS) and a number of repetitions. One of the TBSs is a maximum permitted TBS and the other TBSs are derived from the maximum permitted TBS using a predefined set of smaller TBS values. The number of repetitions of each option is determined as a function of the maximum permitted TBS and a corresponding number of repetitions. The wireless device receives the resource grant and transmits the user data on the uplink during random access to the base station according to at least one of the options. The base station receives the user data on the uplink during random access correspondingly.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for efficient signaling Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) for an uplink data transmission are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of signaling HARQ-ACK feedback for an uplink data transmission sent from a wireless device to a radio network node comprises obtaining HARQ-ACK feedback for the uplink data transmission, encoding the obtained HARQ-ACK feedback on to an unused bit combination of a field in a downlink control channel, and transmitting the downlink control channel to the wireless device. Embodiments of the present disclosure enable wireless device power saving using positive HARQ-ACK feedback without increasing the static downlink control signaling overhead and without reducing coverage for downlink control information.

In some embodiments, the selection is such that the selected adjacent subcarriers varies, e.g., from one cell to another. In doing so, interference is distributed.

    Abstract: A base station and wireless device are configured to support TDD operation. In exemplary embodiments, the base station or UE can make use of the available symbols in the DwPTS or UpPTS of a special subframe respectively for NB-IoT transmissions. In one example, the base station can use OFDM symbols in the DwPTS to repeat in a predetermined manner some of the symbols transmitted in an immediately preceding downlink subframe, or in a succeeding downlink subframe. In other embodiments, the UE can use symbols in the UpPTS to repeat in a predetermined manner some of the symbols transmitted in the immediately succeeding uplink subframe, or in a preceding uplink subframe. The symbols repeated in the special subframe can be coherently combined at the receiver with corresponding symbols transmitted in a downlink or uplink subframe to improve decoding performance, reduce errors, improve channel estimation, and increase system capacity.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of resource allocation for wireless communication are presented. In an example, a user equipment may contain radio circuitry and processing circuitry such that the user equipment is configured to obtain a set of multiple indices, where each index in the set of multiple indices corresponds to a different uplink resource allocation from a set of uplink resource allocations formed from twelve contiguous subcarriers. In an aspect, the set of uplink resource allocations includes an allocation of the twelve contiguous subcarriers, two allocations of six contiguous subcarriers, four allocations of three contiguous subcarriers, and twelve allocations of a single subcarrier. In a further aspect, the user equipment can receive an index indication corresponding to an index from the set of multiple indices from the base station. Also, the user equipment can transmit data to the base station using the resource allocation corresponding to the received index indication.

    Abstract: Embodiments include methods, performed by a network node in a wireless network, for signaling resynchronization signal (RSS) configurations of neighbor cells to one or more user equipment (UEs).
