  • Patent number: 10931520
Abstract: A network node (200) a wireless device (202) and methods therein, for configuring a wireless link (204) to be used for controlling a process at a wireless device (202) involving communication of control signals and feedback signals over the wireless link (204). The network node (200) sends a request message (2:2) to the wireless device (202) comprising a request for performance requirements of the wireless link (204) needed for the communication of control signals and feedback signals. The wireless device (202) determines (2:3) the performance requirements based on at least one of: 1) characteristics of the process, and 2) requirements for how the process is controlled. • Publication number: 20210007100
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of resource allocation for wireless communication are presented. In an example, a user equipment may contain radio circuitry and processing circuitry such that the user equipment is configured to obtain a set of multiple indices, where each index in the set of multiple indices corresponds to a different uplink resource allocation from a set of uplink resource allocations formed from twelve contiguous subcarriers. In an aspect, the set of uplink resource allocations includes an allocation of the twelve contiguous subcarriers, two allocations of six contiguous subcarriers, four allocations of three contiguous subcarriers, and twelve allocations of a single subcarrier. In a further aspect, the user equipment can receive an index indication corresponding to an index from the set of multiple indices from the base station. Also, the user equipment can transmit data to the base station using the resource allocation corresponding to the received index indication.

  • Publication number: 20200351641
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for triggering a long range extension mode of operation for a wireless device in a cellular communications network. In one preferred embodiment, the wireless device is a Machine Type Communication (MTC) device. In one embodiment, a node in the cellular communications network determines that the wireless device is to operate in the long range extension mode if there is difficulty in establishing communication between the wireless device and the cellular communications network. If the wireless device is to operate in the long range extension mode, the node activates one or more long range extension mechanisms with respect to the wireless device such that the wireless device operates in the long range extension mode. In this manner, the long range extension mode is selectively triggered for the wireless device.
