  • Publication number: 20100139250
Abstract: A system and a method are provided for operating an exhaust aftertreatment system of an engine in which one or more constituents of the exhaust gas are oxidized in an oxidation catalyst and one or more constituents of the exhaust gas are deoxidized by means of a group of possible chemical reactions of different type between the one or more constituents of the exhaust gas and catalytic material arranged in a selective-catalytic-reduction catalyst, wherein the exhaust gas flows from the oxidation catalyst to the selective-catalytic-reduction catalyst, wherein the steps are performed: (a) adjusting at least one desired ratio among one or more pairs of the one or more constituents by varying a space velocity of the exhaust gas in at least the oxidation catalyst; (b) varying the space velocity of the exhaust gas by varying one or more operation parameters of the engine; and (c) establishing the ratio to a value at least approaching the desired ratio among the one or more pairs of the one or more constituents at th

  • Publication number: 20100141381
Abstract: An access control system uses an existing file format standard, e.g. for personal data interchange (PDI) or image file interchange, for novel access control purposes to provide temporary access for a wireless key device to a lock device and its protected environment by creating appropriate temporary access defining data in a data object compliant with the file format standard and communicating the data object to the lock device via the wireless key device.

  • Publication number: 20100101213
Abstract: A system and an on-board-diagnosis method is provided for an exhaust aftertreatment system of an engine including a diesel particulate filter unit which encompasses a particulate filter in which soot can be oxidized by NO2 and constituents of the exhaust gas are deoxidized in a nitrogen-oxides reduction unit arranged downstream of the diesel particulate filter unit, wherein the exhaust gas flows from the diesel particulate filter unit to the nitrogen-oxides reduction unit. The on-board-diagnosis method includes estimating an NO2 content upstream of the nitrogen-oxides reduction unit, measuring at least one of an NOx or NO2 content upstream of the nitrogen-oxides reduction unit, performing a comparison between the estimated and the measured contents, and, based on the result of the comparison deciding on at least one conditioning step of the diesel particulate filter unit.

  • Publication number: 20090323712
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangements associated with a Bandwidth Manager, BM, adapted to reserve network resources requested from clients for resource objects in a data network. The arrangement comprises means for determining a second amount of resources to be allocated in addition to the required first amount defined by the resource requests from the clients, wherein the second amount of resources to be determined is dependent on the rate at which the first and second amounts of allocated resources can be increased through admitted requests for more resources.

  • Publication number: 20090304020
Abstract: An arrangement associated with a Bandwidth Manager, BM, adapted to reserve and return network resources requested from a first entity in a data network. The arrangement includes a first message rate limiter element (301) adapted to limit the rate of reservations request messages to the BM, a second message rate limiter element (302) adapted to limit the rate of resource return messages to the BM, and at least one message rate estimator unit (303) adapted to adjust the message rate limiters between the reservation request signalling peak rate and sustained rates defined for the communication between the BM and a second entity.

  • Publication number: 20060196176
Abstract: Apparatus for adjusting the temperature of exhaust gases passing through an exhaust system of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine. The exhaust system is provided with an active regeneration filter for collecting particles from the exhaust gas stream. The apparatus includes a heat exchanger that has a first flow passage for an exhaust gas stream from the exhaust manifold of the engine to the particle filter and a second flow passage for an exhaust gas stream from the particle filter to the outlet pipe of the exhaust system.

  • Publication number: 20050200204
Abstract: A security system for use on a boat with propulsion means, such as an engine, has a base unit mounted on the boat and a personal unit attached to the driver and each passenger. The base unit has a first radio unit and an RFID-reader with an antenna, and is in wireless communication with the personal unit. The personal unit has an RFID-transponder and a second radio unit, both with a unique identity, and a biometric unit that at correct attachment to the person send a biometric signal to the base unit. The communication utilizes RFID technology within a near range, but the system automatically handovers to radio technology when a larger area is to be covered. A field from the RFID reader activates the RFID-transponder, and if the identity is correct the person is registered as the driver and may start the boat. When the base unit loses communication with a personal unit different measures are initiated, such as activating an alarm.

  • Patent number: 5912803
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat dissipating box for a printed board assembly (PBA) using natural convection for cooling. The PBA 64 is fastened between a first part 62 and a second part 61 and the joint is sealed with an elastic material 71. A back plane, which has an opening for a connector of the PBA, is mounted to the other two parts to prevent undesirable substances to get inside the box. The heat dissipating property of the PBA, mounted inside a box, increases rapidly if the PBA's heat dissipating components are placed near or in good thermal contact with the box. This can be obtained by placing bumps, for example supports 66, 68 or ridges 65, on the inside of the box, which are in close contact with the PBA. The surface area of the box may also be enlarged with cooling fins.
