  • Publication number: 20160140492
Abstract: This invention relates to a natural resource and reserve management system, a corresponding method and a resultant natural asset inventory. The system has means for amalgamating and integrating data from disparate expert technical systems and applications, including computer developed or generated data, into at least one common, spatially-referenced database for use by at least one commercially available inventory management application, in order to provide integrated natural asset management in a natural resource inventory. The natural resources and reserves may comprise of depletable mineral resources and reserves, the amalgamation and integration may be conducted continually, and the data may be from disparate expert technical systems and applications in order to provide integrated mineral asset management in a mineral resource inventory.

  • Patent number: 9331061
Abstract: Parallel transistor circuits with reduced effects from common source induction. The parallel transistors include physical gate connections that are located electrically close to one another. The parallel circuits are arranged such that the voltage at the common gate connection resulting from transient currents across common source inductance is substantially balanced. The circuits include switching circuits, converters, and RF amplifiers.

  • Publication number: 20150049528
Abstract: A power factor correction (PFC) boost circuit. The PFC boost circuit can include a first switching device, a second switching device, a first gate driver coupled to the first switching device, a second gate driver coupled to the second switching device, and a PFC controller configured to control the first and second gate drivers. The PFC controller will utilize a new technique, referred to herein as “predictive diode emulation” to control the switching devices in a desired manner and to overcome inefficiencies and other problems that might arise using traditional diode emulation. The PFC controller is configured to operate in synchronous and non-synchronous modes.

  • Patent number: 8587274
Abstract: A current mode power conversion system and method are described that provide a stable output voltage and a maximum-limited output current to a load. The system comprises: a feedback control linearly operable so as to control the output voltage across the load during constant load conditions, and non-linearly operable so as to control the output voltage across the load during certain detected changes in load conditions above a predetermined threshold so as to speed up the transient response of the power conversion system.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 19, 2013

  • Publication number: 20120125691
Abstract: A modular drilling system including a plurality of different size drill bits which can be interchangeably mounted on a common tapered male connecting portion of a drill rod assembly. The tapered male connecting portion may be formed directly onto a tapered drill rod of the assembly or may be formed on an adapter which is threaded onto a threaded drill rod of the assembly. Each bit includes a female connecting portion having a generally cylindrical tapered surface mating with a corresponding tapered surface of the male connecting portion and at least three planar sections adapted to provide positive engagement with corresponding planar sections of the male connecting portion.

  • Patent number: 7355431
Abstract: A testing apparatus and method for testing a semiconductor device, and more particularly a test arrangement for measuring a guaranteed power loss of a semiconductor module, not requiring the module to have on-board decoupling capacitors for the power loss test. The conventional pogo-pin array and test socket are replaced by a novel low cost anisotropic conductive elastomer and a low cost socket, the conductive polymer providing electrical communication between the socket and the module under test.
