  • Patent number: 6944283
Abstract: A process for transmitting a telephone number of a desired subscriber from a directory enquiry facility (ENQ) to a terminal (TER), a directory enquiry facility (ENQ) for this purpose, and a terminal for this purpose. The terminal (TER) is connected to the directory enquiry facility (ENQ) over a telecommunication network with a first channel (BCHAN) for voice transmission and a second channel (DCHAN) for data transmission. An enquiry with data describing the required subscriber is transferred from the terminal (TER) to the directory enquiry facility (ENQ) on the first channel (BCHAN), the telephone number is sent by the directory enquiry facility (ENQ) in the form of a numeric string on the second channel (DCHAN). The terminal (TER) receives the numeric string, derives the telephone number, and stores it in a memory (MEM) provided for direct dialling of the telephone number.

  • Patent number: 6828382
Abstract: This invention relates to a jointing compound of an acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms in the alcohol component as binder and fatty compounds as plasticizer and also fillers and auxiliaries. Epoxystearic acid methyl ester in particular may be used as the fatty compound while a butyl acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer in particular may be used as the acrylate/acrylonitrile copolymer. The combination of the two substances results in jointing compounds characterized by a dramatic improvement in elasticity (resilience). Accordingly, they are particularly suitable for substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion.

  • Patent number: 6800682
Abstract: A gluing, sealing and coating compound based on a styrene copolymer is characterized in that the styrene copolymer mainly contains styrene and in that it contains an aromatic compound-free polyalkylene oxide and/or its fatty derivative. These non-toxic plastcizers are easily tolerated and increase stickiness, elasticity and stretchability. These compounds are therefore suitable as binders for producing glues, coatings and sealing compounds.

  • Patent number: 6726798
Abstract: The invention relates to polystyrene binders modified by fatty compounds. The fatty compounds used are, in particular, esters of fatty acids or fatty alcohols, more especially triglycerides of higher fatty acids, preferably natural fats and oils. They may be added to the binder in high concentrations without adversely affecting the properties of the binder. However, their addition is of advantage in regard to the wetting properties, resistance to water and, above all, hardness. Dispersion adhesives, hotmelt adhesives and sealing compounds in particular can be improved with the binders according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 6359023
Abstract: Described is an NCO-group-containing polyurethane prepolymer madefrom polyisocanyates and polyols derived from natural oils. The invention is characterized in that the polyol is obtained by transesterification in the presence of basic lithium compounds. Together with a tertiary amine used to accelerate the moisture curing, the storage stability is thus increased considerably. Up to 4.0 mmol of the lithium compound is used per kilogram of polyol, and 0.1 to 2.0% by wt. of the amine, relative to the total weight of the composition, is used as the accelerator. The polyurethane prepolymer is suitable not only for the production of adhesives but also for the production of foamed materials, in particular those dispensed from throw-away pressure vessels.

  • Patent number: 5973047
Abstract: Described is a moisture-curing sealing and bonding compound made from completely synthetic polymers, the compound containing, to improve its non-sag properties, a triglyceride, either as the sole non-sag agent or in addition to prior art agents. The triglyceride should have a melting point over 40.degree. C., preferably over 50.degree. C., and be derived from saturated fatty acids with 8 to 26 C-atoms. Even without using thixotropic agents, compounds can be obtained which do not sag at temperatures over 40.degree. C. Such joint sealants can be used to fill joints more than 35 mm wide without sagging.

  • Patent number: 5645763
Abstract: The use of esters--liquid at room temperature--of C.sub.6-22 fatty acids with monohydric alcohols and/or of C.sub.6-22 fatty alcohols with monocarboxylic acids as solvents for isocyanates and/or isocyanurates is provided. Because the ester reduces the viscosity of the isocyanates and/or isocyanurates, the mixture will be easy to pump and mix with other components prior to curing. Also provided is a process for reducing the viscosity of isocyanates and isocyanurates comprising adding to said isocyanate or isocyanurate one or more esters selected from the group consisting of C.sub.6-22 fatty acids with monohydric alcohols and C.sub.6-22 fatty alcohols with monocarboxylic acids, said esters being a liquid at room temperature.
