Abstract: A lower fan having an intake passage and an upwardly directed delivery passage is mounted below an upper fan, which is mounted near the top level of a tower silo and has an upwardly directed intake passage and a delivery passage. Means are provided for supplying bulk material to the intake passage of the lower fan. A substantially vertical pipeline connects said delivery passage of said lower fan to said intake passage of said upper fan. A rotary distributor unit is connected to said delivery passage of said upper fan and adapted to receive bulk material from said delivery passage of said upper fan and to distribute said bulk material in said tower silo.

Abstract: A floor grid for use in keeping animals, comprises a plurality of juxtaposed wooden bars which are transversely spaced apart to define gaps between them, and a covering on the top of each bar. The covering has downwardly depending longitudinal edge portions that extend downwardly along opposite sides of each bar, and laterally protruding portions that are integral with the downwardly depending longitudinal edge portions and that also extend downwardly along the sides of the bars. The laterally protruding portions are spaced apart along the bars to space the bars apart laterally.

Abstract: An installation for delivering flowable feed to a plurality of animal feeding stations comprises a feed storage container and a delivery conduit connected to said container and having an outlet and adapted to deliver feed from said container to and through said outlet. A shut-off valve controls the delivery of feed through said outlet. The quantity of feed to be removed from said container during a delivery of feed through said outlet is predetermined, and an indicator indicates when that quantity has been dispensed.

Abstract: The fixture is used in the formation of a discharge opening of a fodder silo of reinforced concrete during the placing of said concrete. The fixture comprises a form frame which consists of a plurality of parts which are adapted to be taken apart. The form frame is adapted to define said discharge opening during the placing of said concrete. Anchors are detachably connected to said form frame and adapted to carry reinforcements for reinforcing said concrete. Said form frame is adapted to be disconnected from said anchors when said concrete has been placed. When said concrete has been placed and said form frame has been disconnected from said anchors, the latter are adapted to carry mounting means for mounting a door for closing said discharge opening.

Abstract: The parts of each element are fixed in a predetermined configuration to a fixing frame, which together with said parts fixed thereto is pushed into a nailing machine, which is then operated to fix nail plates across joints between adjacent parts of the element. The fixing frame comprises frame members in a configuration which corresponds approximately to the configuration of the element to be manufactured. Said frame members include side members, at least one of which is a longest side member and at least one of which is an opposite side member which is opposite to a longest side member. The fixing frame also comprises fixing means for fixing said parts of said element of construction in said predetermined configuration to said frame. Said fixing means comprise stationary stops provided on said at least one longest side member and quick-clamping devices provided on said at least one opposite side member and including final tightening means.

Abstract: A concrete wall is formed with at least one discharge opening and has an outside surface and an inside surface formed with a recess which surrounds said discharge opening. A door-frame extends in said recess and has corners and a peripherally extending door abutment. A door is disposed in said discharge opening and engages said door abutment. Frame-clamping means are provided to force said door frame into said recess and comprise pins carried by said door frame at least at said corners and extending outwardly through said discharge opening, and clamping plates engaging said outside surface and cooperating with said clamping pins.

Abstract: The unloader serves to remove chopped silage from a circular silo. A frame is adapted to be supported on the inside surface of a peripheral wall of the silo and to be lowered in said silo when silage has been removed. A unit is carried by said frame and mounted for rotation on a vertical axis at the center of said frame and comprises a radially extending cutting and feeding screw provided at its periphery with cutting and tearing elements. The unit also comprises an ejecting blower disposed radially inwardly of said screw and comprising an impeller and an inake opening which faces said screw and is at least as large in diameter as said screw and exposed throughout its periphery. The unit further comprises drive means for driving said screw and blower. The drive means comprise a hollow shaft which carries said impeller and is operable to rotate the same, and a drive shaft which extends through said hollow shaft and is operatively connected to said screw.

Abstract: A plurality of formwork elements are provided, each of which is curved according to an arc of a circle and which are assembled to form an inner formwork wall and an outer formwork wall. Each of said formwork elements have two vertical edges provided with angled portions which form engaging faces, which engage engaging faces of horizontally adjacent formwork elements of the same formwork wall. Said angled portions of said formwork elements of said outer formwork wall extend outwardly. Said angled portions of said formwork elements of said inner formwork wall extend inwardly.
