  • Publication number: 20190137357
Abstract: A system comprises a cluster of field devices that each have a signal generator assigned to the respective field device. The system includes a communication interface and a data processing device for the provision of system values, diagnostic values and/or process values. The system is configured to selectively choose at least one corresponding system and/or diagnostic value and/or process value of the respective field devices on the basis of a common selection criterion. The system is further configured to determine status information for the respective field device on the basis of the at least one respectively selected system and/or diagnostic value and/or process value and to output the status information using the associated signal generator. The invention further relates to an appropriate method of selecting and identifying field devices from a plurality of field devices.

  • Publication number: 20190091822
Abstract: A machine element, in particular for a shaping machine, having a lubricated bearing and/or a seal and at least one drainage conduit for catching a medium issuing from the bearing and/or the seal, preferably substantially pressure-lessly. A collecting device is provided for collecting the medium which is caught in the at least one drainage conduit over a period of time, and a measuring device is adapted to directly and/or indirectly measure an amount of the medium collected by the collecting device over the period of time.

  • Publication number: 20180345413
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media for producing at least one portion of a layer of a three-dimensional component by irradiating at least one powder layer by at least one high-energy beam, e.g., a laser beam are disclosed. The methods include irradiating the powder layer by the at least one high-energy beam in a processing field, wherein the at least one high-energy beam is moved in a continuous oscillating movement over the powder layer in a first direction to produce a line-shaped irradiation region in which the powder layer is melted, and wherein the line-shaped irradiation region is moved over the powder layer in a second direction that differs from the first to produce the portion of the layer of the three-dimensional component.

  • Publication number: 20180196411
Abstract: A method of determining an energy-efficient operating point of a machine tool of a machine tool system with which identical workpieces for processing can be supplied to the machine tool sequentially in time. The machine tool has an operating point dependent machine cycle time and an operating point dependent power demand. The machine tool system has at least two machine tools and has a system cycle time, and the machine cycle time is shorter than the system cycle time. The method includes determining the energy-efficient operating point in accordance with a machine cycle time dependent characteristic energy demand function of the machine tool. The characteristic energy demand function represents a machine cycle time dependent energy demand of the machine tool over the system cycle time. A corresponding device and a machine tool system are also described.

  • Publication number: 20180196912
Abstract: A method for generating a sectional view of a body of a vehicle includes displaying a first sectional view of the vehicle body on a screen, where the first sectional view comprises two surfaces of two components of the vehicle body which adjoin one another at a first transition point. The method includes displaying a joint catalog with a plurality of predefined joint types, where one joint type of the plurality of predefined joint types defines a predefined joint section for a joint between two surfaces. The method also includes detecting a selection of a first joint type from the joint catalog, and automatically inserting the predefined joint section for the first joint type at the first transition point into the first sectional view displayed on the screen, with the result that the surfaces of the two components are connected to one another at the first transition point by the joint section.

  • Publication number: 20180169817
Abstract: A method for reducing an energy demand of a machine tool (2, 3, 4) of a machine tool system (1), wherein the machine tool system (1) comprises at least a first machine tool (3), with a first machine cycle time, and a second machine tool (4), with a second machine cycle time. Identical workpieces (9) are transported sequentially in time for processing (101, 107), first to the first machine tool (3) and then to the second machine tool (4). The second machine cycle time is shorter than the first machine cycle time. The method according to the invention is characterized in that the workpieces (9), after being processed by the first machine tool (3), are collected (105, 106) before they are conveyed (107) to the second machine tool (4) for processing. The invention also concerns a related device (10) and a machine tool system (1).

  • Publication number: 20170370316
Abstract: A method for carrying out the operation of an internal combustion engine, wherein liquid fuel injection amounts are injected at cylinders of a group of cylinders of the internal combustion engine in the context of injection events, wherein in a first step, a first cylinder of the group with the strongest knocking tendency over a time period is determined, and in a second step an injection correction occurs such that the injection events at the first determined cylinder can be sequentially reduced in their injection duration or injection amount by a first correction value, while the injection duration or injection amount of the injection events at the other cylinders of the group are sequentially increased by a second correction value.
