Abstract: A laundry drum for a laundry treatment machine mounted within a housing for rotation about a non-vertical axis, the laundry drum including a drum casing having a plurality of stamped recesses formed therein in a manner such that at least one sectional plane of the laundry drum lying at right angles to the axis of rotation has an at least approximately circular shape, the laundry drum including a drum casing having the curved stamped recesses formed therein in a manner wherein in the alignment of a surface contour lying in the drum casing is formed a surface having a plurality of arcuate edges which merge continuously into one another with a single axis of symmetry extending at least approximately in the circumferential direction of the drum casing.

Abstract: A laundry drum on the one hand is to exhibit the advantageous features of structures of the prior art distributed in the circumferential direction, which protrude from the cylinder shape of the drum casing accommodated in the laundry drum, but at the same time however create the basics for their embodiment for advantageous influencing of the laundry movement within the laundry drum during its rotational movement. To this end structures are inventively formed from ring-shaped protrusions distributed in the circumferential direction.

Abstract: A household appliance includes a cabinet-shaped housing comprised of a plurality of walls. At least one of the walls has an arrangement of embossings. The arrangement of embossings includes a first embossing arranged centered in relation to a center of the at least one wall and configured in the shape of a ring when viewed from above. A second embossing is arranged outside the first embossing in substantial concentric relationship to the first embossing and configured in the shape of a ring when viewed from above. At least one third embossing is arranged outside the second embossing and has a strip-shaped configuration. The presence of embossings in the at least one wall is able to reduce vibrations and thereby significantly reduce the amount of unwanted noise.

Agitators are disposed on an inner periphery of the drum jacket and the throughflow holes are disposed in the cylindrical regions.
