  • Publication number: 20220156301
Abstract: Data processing apparatuses, methods and computer programs are disclosed. A range definition register is arranged to store a range specifier and filtering operations are performed with respect to a specified transaction by reference to the range definition register. The range definition register stores the range specifier in a format comprising a significand and an exponent, wherein a range of data identifiers is at least partially defined by the range specifier. When the specified transaction is with respect to a data identifier within the range of data identifiers, the filtering operations performed are dependent on attribute data associated with the range of data identifiers.

  • Patent number: 11324974
Abstract: Face mask devices, systems, and methods of use include a frame that holds a suitable filter material, including a face mask, over the user's face to form a seal and prevent unfiltered air from being inhaled through the nose or mouth of the user without first passing through the filter material. The frame is removably attached over the users face by, for example, adjustable straps. The frame may be adjustable in size to be suitable for use on user's having different facial sizes, shapes, and/or geometries.

  • Publication number: 20220128005
Abstract: The engine is adapted to generate thrust or designed to generate torque includes a combustor, the combustor generates an exhaust gas flow to push the rotor blades of a rotor in a rotor housing, the exhaust gas flow rotates the rotor, shaft, and fan which produces a rotating force and produces an air flow. The rotor housing having a first wall, a second wall, and a third wall which guides the exhaust gas flow until the exhaust gas flow reaches a housing gap at the second wall and the exhaust gas flow moves out from the rotor housing, while the first wall having another housing gap for the air flow to go through to cool the rotor and the cooling process adds torque to the engine. The engine includes an optional wind turbine assembly. An air compressor is either driven by an electric motor or driven by other means.

  • Patent number: 11263020
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for erasing user data stored in a file system. The method includes destroying all key bags containing encryption keys on a device having a file system encrypted on a per file and per class basis, erasing and rebuilding at least part of the file system associated with user data, and creating a new default key bag containing encryption keys. Also disclosed herein is a method of erasing user data stored in a remote file system encrypted on a per file and per class basis. The method includes transmitting obliteration instructions to a remote device, which cause the remote device to destroy all key bags containing encryption keys on the remote device, erase and rebuild at least part of the file system associated with user data, and create on the remote device a new default key bag containing encryption keys.

  • Publication number: 20220057491
Abstract: A focal-plane array includes an array of pixels. Each pixel includes an avalanche-type diode on a first layer, a read-out circuit (ROIC) on a second layer, and a power-supply circuit on a middle layer stacked between the first layer and the second layer. Since each pixel includes the avalanche-type diode, the ROIC, and the power-supply circuit on different layers circuitry for each pixel is in a top-down footprint of the pixel. Thus a consistent bias voltage to each pixel, decouples the avalanche-type diodes of the different pixels to eliminate crosstalk between adjacent pixels, and allows for individual control of each pixel.

  • Patent number: 11257095
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system are disclosed for managing a return transaction within an environment having a plurality of purchasable item. The method acquires, using at least one visual sensor disposed within the environment, first image information including a first person and including a first item associated with the first person. The method identifies the first person using image analysis performed on the first image information. Further, the method determines, using image analysis performed on the first image information and based on one or more predetermined criteria, that the first item is eligible to be returned by the first person within the return transaction. Upon completion of one or more predefined return tasks specified for the first item within the return transaction, the method updates a first data structure representing an inventory of the environment to reflect the returned first item.

  • Publication number: 20220048572
Abstract: We disclose a chassis for a vehicle, comprising an interconnected framework comprising a plurality of tubular sections, and at least one sheet bonded to the framework, wherein the tubular sections are of a non-ferrous metallic composition. The non-ferrous tubular sections have a very thin wall; generally, these sections are made by extrusion, which currently allows for wall thicknesses no thinner than about 2.5 mm. We prefer the wall thickness to be about this level, and ideally no greater than 3 mm. Such a thin-walled tube would usually imply a lower resistance to buckling, but as part of the structural element defined above, we have found that the tube does not buckle and in fact has an impact response that is superior to other alternatives. We therefore prefer that the tubular sections have a profile for which the ratio of the minimum area moment of inertia of its cross section to the square of the unsupported length of the section is less than 2 mm2.

  • Publication number: 20210389429
Abstract: A Lidar system includes a focal-plane array having a plurality of pixels. Each pixel includes a first single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) and a second SPAD. The Lidar system operates by, for each of a plurality of the pixels, applying a bias voltage to the first SPAD of the pixel while no bias voltage or low bias voltage is applied to the second SPAD of the pixel, then removing the bias voltage from the first SPAD of the pixel and applying a bias voltage to the second SPAD of the pixel while no bias voltage or low bias voltage is applied to the first SPAD of the pixel, and then recording detection of a photon by the first SPAD of the pixel and detection of a photon by the second SPAD on a common memory bank of the pixel.
