  • Patent number: 11936236
Abstract: Selective discharging of a rechargeable battery pack across a power supply system load is provided, which includes determining occurrence of a condition within the power supply system, the power supply system including a power supply circuit and a backup energy source. The power supply circuit receives main input power, and the backup energy source is operatively coupled to the power supply circuit to supply backup power to the system load when main power input to the power supply circuit is unavailable. Based on determining occurrence of the condition within the power supply system, a controller actively discharges a rechargeable battery pack of the backup energy source. The actively discharging includes controlling the power supply circuit to force discharging of power from the rechargeable battery pack to the power supply system load by suspending the main input power within the system from powering the system load.

  • Publication number: 20230316432
Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided to receive, at a server, a utility bill and interval data for a user of an energy utility, and store the received utility bill and interval data in a database system communicatively coupled to the server. The received utility bill may include a date range for the bill and a tariff. The received interval data may include data used by the energy utility for determining costs. A calculation engine of the server may determine a model bill based on the received utility bill and the interval data. The server may determine an accuracy of a utility bill issued by the energy utility to by determining whether the model bill matches the utility bill. The server may determine that the utility bill, the interval data, and the tariff are accurate when the model bill matches the utility bill based on the accuracy determination.

  • Publication number: 20170146311
Abstract: This pistol dry fire device enables multiple dry fire trigger pulls with just one racking of the slide or cocking of the semi-automatic double action only pistol without any modifications to the pistol or the standard magazine. Since the device is constructed from an impact resistant material that is inserted behind the slide and in front of the flush mounted hammer, the hammer does not contact the firing in when the device is properly positioned, rotated 90 degrees and locked in place, preventing damage to the pin, but does allow the hammer to fall and the trigger to reset as when live fire is conducted. This reset then allows for another trigger pull without racking the slide. The device also creates a visual failsafe condition without interfering with the pistol's normal functions or sights.

  • Patent number: 9602569
Abstract: Telecommunications equipment may require network connectivity. On newer systems, an additional local management interface is provided for proprietary maintenance functions, typically via a shell-based Command Line Interface. This is not available on remote sites with only TDM connections. The invention provides a method of communicating between a management console and remote access equipment via a class 4 telecommunications switch, which comprises establishing an IP connection, establishing a synchronous telecommunications transport connection between the class 5 switch and the remote access equipment, setting up a voice call between the management console and the remote access equipment, passing the voice call over the IP connection as a VOIP call, passing the voice call over the synchronous telecommunications transport connection as a PCM encoded call, and encapsulating an IP data stream in the VOIP and PCM encoded call to establish an end-to-end IP.
