  • Patent number: 12634247
Abstract: Virtual agents may be deployed to conduct a communication with a customer to determine and resolve a work item. During the communication, the virtual agent may need to obtain or provide information to other entities. However, coding a virtual agent to perform such communications is difficult and error prone. By providing a messaging system with a central repository, the virtual agent may register an interest in another entity, group of entities, the state of one or more entities, or information contained therein via messaging to a central repository. The central repository then provides callback messages to the virtual agent that matches the interest or any other conditions specified.

  • Publication number: 20240244139
Abstract: Making the best customer-agent matching decision to engage in a communication to resolve a work item is a primary objective of any contact center. In addition to or as an alternative to standard routing decisions, a real-time agent-matching module is selected from a pool of agent-matching modules, each real-time agent-matching module being unique in its ability to match a resource (e.g., agent) to a customer. The real-time agent-matching modules may differ from one another in terms of information gathered and/or utilizing logic unique to that particular agent-matching module. An orchestration layer is provided to select a single agent-matching module or a series or parallel number of agent-matching modules to select a resource and connect to the customer.

  • Patent number: 11868493
Abstract: Working from home is becoming more and more commonplace. Ensuring that remote workers are following prescribed data protection measures becomes more important, and challenging. Safe and Secure Remote Working Environment (SSRWE) monitors an environment and determines if a non-compliant element is present. For example, a condition of working from home may be that no notetaking or electronic devices, especially ones comprising a camera, be visible to a system camera capturing the field of view in front of a display. If a non-compliant situation is discovered, the display may be redacted and/or other action taken to protect sensitive information.

  • Patent number: 11785140
Abstract: Users of a networked communication device may omit updating their availability state, and that of an associated communication device, if the state change is sudden or believed to be of sufficiently short duration. By quickly changing their state, a routing component may more accurately know whether or not a communication routed to the communication device will or will not be answered. By utilizing a camera and gesture processing logic, a user may naturally and quickly update their state without the need to navigate menus or select options with manual, tactile interactions with the communication device.

  • Publication number: 20230127720
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) is often utilized for conducting an interaction with a human, such as a customer of a business. While AI agents may successfully interact with a customer to complete a particular task, in some circumstances, an interaction may be beyond the ability of the AI agent. As a result, supervisor may be presented with indicia of an interaction and provide an input, after the input the AI agent may be able to resume the interaction to a successful conclusion. The input may be to modify an AI agent's behavior or provide a particular input as a portion of the interaction with the customer. The AI agent receives or monitors the input and incorporates such inputs into a subsequent training session to alleviate the need for subsequent human involvement if a similar interaction occurs in in the future.

  • Patent number: 11303750
Abstract: A method and system are described that interact with a self-service system on behalf of a customer and without requiring a presence of the customer during the interactions. An illustrative method includes receiving one or more inputs from a customer, where the one or more inputs define a desired action to take on behalf of the customer with the self-service system in the absence of the customer's presence, obtaining contact information for the self-service system, using the contact information to automatically establish a communication session with the self-service system, receiving a prompt from the self-service system, and performing the desired action as a response to the prompt, where the desired action is performed during the communication session on behalf of the customer and in the absence of the customer's presence.

  • Patent number: 11251956
Abstract: According to one embodiment, providing identity authentication can comprise registering, by an identity server, Proof Of Identity (POI) information in an identity record for a user of a Rich Communications Services (RCS) network in a secure store and a hash of an identity claim token for the user in an identity management blockchain. The identity server can receive a request to authenticate the user and, in response to the request, provide an encrypted identity claim token for the user. The encrypted identity claim token can comprise an attestation of a certifying authority and, when decrypted and hashed can match the hash of an identity claim token in the identity management blockchain when the user is authentic. An authentication score indicating a degree to which received biometric data of the user and device data matches a set of baseline biometric and device date can also be provided in response to the request.

  • Patent number: 10351094
Abstract: An apparatus includes a main body substantially enclosing an interior volume. The main body is elastically expandable to an inflated configuration. The apparatus further includes a vent aperture in the main body and a vent cover at least partially overlapping the vent aperture. The vent aperture and the vent cover define a passage from the interior volume to outside of the main body. In the inflated configuration of the main body and within a pressure threshold of the interior volume, the vent cover constricts the passage proportionately to a pressure increase in the interior volume of the main body.
